Synchronize calendars, rates and availability
How to connect your calendar to an external source
Connect to a channel manager or another rental website to synchronize your property rates and availability
Channel Manager: SiteMinder
- Login into the AURA Dashboard to obtain your Siteminder Hotel Code, click the Pricing and Availability tab and select: Channel manager SiteMinder as your booking Source and click Change. You will then receive your SiteMinder Hotel Code ID
- Login into SiteMinder and add aura.travel as a new channel.
- Answer the 6 questions asked and press continue each time (most questions can be left blank by pressing continue)
- Add the full Siteminder Hotel Code you have obtained above when asked: example 47509-3L2AL (all numbers, dash and letters)
- SiteMinder will then receive a request to enable your property
- SiteMinder will advise by email that the rooms a ready to be mapped
- At this point you would login to SiteMinder and push through a bulk update for rates and inventory for aura.travel

Channel Manager: Resonline
Please note there are 2 different setup steps below: the first one applies if you are new to aura.travel, and the second one applies if you have an existing property already listed.
- Log into the Resonline channel manager distribution list
- Click Connect next to the aura.travel channel in the website list
- Follow the 3 easy connection steps described on the Resonline channel connection page:
Step 1: Register an account with aura.travel by following the "clicking here" link on the Resonline channel connection page (this will take you to the automated user registration page on aura.travel).
Step 2: Accept and connect to the aura.travel channel (from the Resonline channel connection page).
Step 3: Enable the mapping details by selecting the appropriate packages to be sold on aura.travel (from the Resonline channel connection page). - Log into your Resonline account
- From within the Distribution tab, Activate the aura.travel connection - click Accept and Connect, followed by clicking Activate Connection. Make sure you select all packages to be sold on aura.travel and click Save Changes
- Log into the AURA Dashboard and click Manage property > click Manage Listing > click Pricing and Availability tab
- Enter your Resonline Hotel ID code. It is extremely important that you enter the correct ID number, with no spaces or other characters
- Click Connect to Resonline
Option 1: Brand new setup
Option 2: Connect an existing aura.travel property to Resonline
Once the property is connected and the rooms are mapped, you will be notified by AURA (generally within a business day).
Channel Manager: RMS
The process for mapping your property to RMS is as follows: (for additional assistance contact RMS support)
- Login into the AURA Dashboard to obtain your RMS Hotel Code, click the Pricing and Availability tab and select: Channel manager RMS as your booking Source and click Change. You will then receive your RMS Hotel Code ID
- Login into RMS and add aura.travel as a new channel.
- Add the full RMS Hotel Code you have obtained above when asked: example 47509-3L2AL (all numbers, dash and letters)
- RMS will then activate your property to be ready for mapping
- At this point you would push through a bulk update for rates and inventory for aura.travel for each room type
Option 1: Brand new setup
Airbnb
Calendar exporting lets you view your Airbnb calendar on an external calendar that supports the iCal format. To export your calendar in iCal format and add it to your external calendar:
To export your calendar:
- Click your name in the top-right corner of airbnb.com
- Select Your Listing
- For the listing you want to edit, click Manage Listing and Calendar
- Click Settings in the top-right corner of your calendar view
- Under Sync Calendars, select Export calendar
Copy and paste the link showing in the Export Calendar section into the AURA Dashboard by login to your AURA Account under the Pricing and Availability Tab. Select the Airbnb option from the dropdown click save and then paste the link in the space provided, then click the Synchronize button
iCal (Google, Yahoo or other ical-based calendars)
Google Calendar iCal example:
- Log in to your Google account
- On your computer, open Google Calendar. You can only export from a computer, not a phone or tablet.
- On the left side of the page, find the My calendars section.
- To the right of the calendar you want to export, click the dropdown menu > Calendar settings.
- Click on the ICAL box on the “Calendar Address” section.
- Copy the link (.ics file) of your events that will show up on the pop-up window.
- If you get a message “Public access to this calendar has not been enabled.” Make sure your calendar is “make public” on the “Change sharing settings”.
Copy and paste the link showing in the Export Calendar section into the AURA Dashboard by login to your AURA Account under the Pricing and Availability Tab. Select the iCAL/Google calendar source from the dropdown click save and then paste the link in the space provided, then click the Synchronize button.
Homeaway
- Sign into your Homeaway account
- Click Calendars or View calendar link on Dashboard
- Click the Import/Export Calendar Tab
- Click Export Calendar and you will see a link like the following: http://www.homeaway.com.au/icalendar/3cc8f64cc0a3444e9d767a93caedc44f.ics
- Copy the URL
Login into the AURA Dashboard click the Pricing and Availability Tab. Select the iCAL/Google calendar source from the dropdown click save and then paste the link in the space provided, then click the Synchronize button.
