Capturing the essence of yesteryear, Guildford River Retreat, a privately owned and operated Boutique Hotel offering personalized services in the heart of Guildford Hertiage precinct.  Well appointed rooms, the welcoming grounds and building attracts guests who appreciate serenity, the essence of country with the convenience of the city.

Guildford River Retreat, originally known as Rohais, was built in 1897 in the Federation Queen Anne style, during the West Australian gold boom. The house was built for William Francis Guppy as a family residence. Over the years Rohais has continued to be a part of the Guildford community, as the Wells Rest Home (1964 - 1981) and Foothills School (1982 - 2000).

Now known as Guildford River Retreat, this Heritage listed Federation house has been restored to its original standing to provide accommodation at an elegant residential address of Guildford. The property boasts a rural setting with gardens and walkways down to the Swan River, yet right in the heart of Guildford, the gateway to the Swan Valley and Wine Region

  • After 8.00 pm can be arranged prior to 8.00 pm and will require identification verification before an electronic check in can be completed. Late check in that requires reception attendance will be charged to the room cost at $110.00 ( as a one off charge)

PROPERTY damage and or theft is the responsibility of the guest all damage and missing items will be charged to the guest.

Payment Policy

  • A Deposit is required at time of booking to confirm reservation. 
  • Bookings are not confirmed until credit card details are received and deposit paid. 
  • One night reservation 100% deposit is required. 
  • Two or more night stays 50% deposit is required. 
  • Reservations are confirmed once deposit has been paid and received. 
  • I understand the credit card number is used as a bond against damage, breakage or misuse. 
  • “No Show “ or stays “cut short” will be charged at 100% 
  • Credit Cards that we accept are Visa MasterCard & Amex

CANCELLATION POLICY 

  • Bookings cancelled up to 14 days prior to arrival date, a refund of payment or deposit minus $55.00 administration fee will be given. 
  • Bookings cancelled 14 days or less prior to arrival date, no refund is payable and payment of total booking is required, unless the dates are able to be rebooked.
