Description

Features a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, one is an ensuite with a spa bath, three queen bed rooms, one room with 2 single beds and a 4 bunk bedroom. The house a dining and lounge area with reverse cycle air conditioners/heater. Situated on two thirds of an acre with a barbeque area and lots of space to play, it makes a perfect getaway.

Peppermint Blue house has easy access to all town facilities without using the car. There is a nearby park for kids to play and feed ducks, local cafes, restaurants, supermarket and two great country pubs make for very fine dining choices.  The town is full of fascinating and quirky history. Massage, clothes, books, and great coffee can all be enjoyed within a short walk.

Trentham is located just one hour’s drive north west of Melbourne, on the plateau of the great divide. 40 mins from Tullamarine airport, 20 mins to Daylesford, Kyneton and Woodend. 30 mins to Hepburn springs. 

Escape global warming and come to enjoy the cool climate. Here you can find wonderful cool climate gardens, lush golf courses, bush walks, famous Trentham falls, delicious organic farm produce all surrounded by the wonderful Wombat State Forest. For those who love to be pampered, massages and relaxing spas are all a short drive away at Daylesford and Hepburn Springs.

Trentham has a fabulous country golf course, great local roads for cycling, motor cycling or vintage car rallying. It is a convenient distance to ride or drive from Melbourne, via scenic routes through superb forests. Also nearby is a skate park and in summer there is a swimming pool.

There are famous historic gardens in nearby Blackwood and Daylesford, featuring superb displays of cool climate plants and perennial borders.

Enjoy the pretty bush where birdlife abounds or take a picnic at the nearby Trentham falls. Local farms allow pick your own experiences and delicious fresh farm produce such as organic free range eggs, potatoes and vegetables. There are regular Sunday markets selling everything from antiques to clothes and fresh local produce.  Take a longer drive around the district to pamper yourself at Hepburn Springs spa complex or indulge in fine dining at Daylesford or hand made chocolates on the road to Guildford. For train lovers there is a great historic train ride form Daylesford to Ballarto.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us at Peppermint Blue House. It is important that you read and agree to these terms and conditions. 

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS:

  • All bookings must be confirmed with a minimum of 50% deposit within 7 working days of making a booking.
  • The balance to be paid no later than 14 days prior to arrival date. A bond of $250 is payable for fewer than 10 guests and $500 for 10 guests and over. Bond is payable preferably with the balance but no later than 5 business days before your stay.
  • Payments can be made by CHEQUE payable to PJ Fitzgerald, or direct bank transfer to BANK ACCOUNT:

CONDITIONS OF YOUR STAY:

  • Standard check in time: 2 pm. Standard check out time: 11 am.
  • Maximum number of guests not to exceed the number of people agreed between us and you.
  • No smoking inside at any time.
  • Lost key replacement fee of $40 applies.
  • No dogs or other pets. Any breach of this may require extra cleaning or damage charges to be taken from the bond.
  • Premises must be left clean and tidy, otherwise extra cleaning charges may be taken from the bond.
  • BBQ must be left clean or extra cleaning charges may be taken from the bond.
  • Inside rubbish is to be removed and placed into the external bins on departure. Excess rubbish is not to be left at the property.
  • Any breakages/damage must be reported. Any damage or missing items will be charged accordingly.
  • Bonds will be refunded after inspection of premises by owner or agent, less any adjustments for damage/loss/extra guests etc. Guests must inform us of their preferred method to receive the bond back.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • Cancellations notified more than 1 MONTH prior to arrival will incur a cancellation fee of 20%.
  • Cancellation within less than 1 MONTH and more than 14 days prior to arrival will forfeit the deposit.
  • Cancellation within 14 days of arrival will forfeit full tariff, unless the property can be relet for at least the equivalent value to enable a partial refund.

"Perfect getaway" My mother, sister and I loved our stay here. Lovely spacious house, well decorated, very clean and quiet. Lovely gazebo with bbq on a large block with loads of greenery and a beautiful big gum tree out the front. Just what the doctor ordered. Close to all the best attractions in the area plus some great bakery/restaurant pub options right in town. Highly recommended

"Great for a large group!" Our family members stayed here for our wedding. It was a chilly, rainy weekend but the house was toasty once the fireplace was going. Ample bedrooms and a large back garden make this an affordable get away for large groups.

We had a great stay at Peppermint Blue House. Despite the freezing weather outdoors the house was warm and cozy. It was great to all have our own rooms as well! The kitchen had everything we needed for morning fry ups! It was close to the town centre and the garden was lovely. It was a great break from city life!
