Akyra Lodge - House

Akyra House offers gorgeous New York styled architecture with a Japanese twist, unique for accommodation in the Daylesford area. Originally commissioned by a New Yorker, the property was later sold with numerous designer furnishings, many of which are still found on site. Presently, the house sleeps up to seven people and contains the following:

• A king-size bath converts to spa
• One main bedroom upstairs sleeps 9 and two separate bedrooms Downstairs & other areas to sleep - spacious

Visitors with pets are also welcome at Akyra House, as we feel that your dog or cat has just as much right to travel as you do. There is plenty of room for your animal companion to explore as well, since our lodgings are located within some very scenic Japanese gardens, the perfect environment for relaxation in the great outdoors.

Those travelling with a larger group can rent both our house and cottage which can comfortably sleep up to twelve people. Our accommodation is often used for hens’ weekends and mums’ getaways as it is located in a tranquil, natural area and boasts some very stylish, comfortable interiors. For some time away with the girls, some friends or a loved one, there really is no better place to stay.

Pet Stays

Akyra Lodge is unique due to the fact that it is one of the few accommodation options around Daylesford that permits pets on site. If you are travelling with your dog or cat and are looking for a comfortable, stylish cottage in which to stay, we offer you the perfect holiday environment. Trentham is also located in the heart of the Macedon Ranges, one of Victoria’s most beautiful regions, and is a delight to explore with your trusty companion.

Whether you rent our house or cottage, you and your pets will have plenty of room to move about and relax. Our interiors contain designer furnishings made for people as well as cats and dogs. Outside, your canine friends can explore our beautifully landscaped Japanese gardens, giving them the exercise that they need and an environment which you will find relaxing as well.

The town of Trentham and the surrounding areas are also very friendly towards dogs and offer a host of sites and activities for you and your pooch. The Wombat State Forest has a multitude of trails to explore and a number of dams for swimming. Closer to town, the Lyonville Mineral Springs and the Quarry Street Reserve are both very suitable places for you to take your dog. He or she may even meet a few of the local pups there too!

While staying at our accommodation, we encourage you to keep your pets inside your rented lodgings or on a leash at all times. This is mainly to protect our native wildlife and keep the local plants and animals thriving as they deserve. There is also a much simpler reason too, as this ensures that your cat or dog cannot escape. In this way, you can preserve the local environment and thoroughly enjoy your holiday at the same time.
