The Sandy Point Beach Escape apartment is located high on a sand dune at Sandy Point, within 100 metres of an access track to one of Victoria’s most beautiful surf beaches. The two-bedroom Beach Escape apartment can cater for up to six people in both style and comfort. The basic price is for the 1 bedroom apartment for up to 2 guests sharing the queen bed of the main bedroom with no access to the 2nd bedroom. To gain access to the 2nd bedroom add at least 2 extra guests, up to a maximum of 6 guests in total

Elegantly-appointed Beach Escape is filled with natural light, and provides memorable seaside accommodation for a couple, for a family, and for small groups of friends. Beach Escape is spacious yet private and is surrounded by native bush - mature tea-tree and wattle trees - as well as the sounds of the surf and birds.  It is situated on the first level of the Sandy Point Beach Escape complex. The waters of beautiful Shallow Inlet can be seen in the distance through the trees.

The apartment has polished timber floors in the main living area, along with full-length north-facing windows and a glass sliding door giving access to a large sheltered deck. On the deck, guests will find an outdoor furniture setting and an electric barbecue.

The open-plan living and dining area features top-quality furniture, fixtures and lighting, together with a reverse cycle air-conditioner for heating and cooling. All windows are double glazed for comfort and noise reduction.

The apartment is fitted with a colour television set, a stereo system and a DVD player.

Beach Escape is ideal to escape from the pressures of modern life such as mobile phones and computers. For those guests needing the use of a mobile phone, there is access to the Telstra and Optus Mobile networks.  There is no access to the Vodafone mobile network.  Free WiFi Internet access is available on request.  A free WiFI allowance of 2GByte per booked night or 20GByte per booked week is allocated. Guests requiring additional download/upload capacity can purchase a data pack to meet their requirements.

Beach Escape's kitchen is equipped with electric bench-top hot plates, a bench-top electric griller/oven, a microwave oven, a refrigerator, a toaster and a kettle as well as crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and glassware for 6 people.

Beach Escape has two bedrooms, and all linen, covered doonas, blankets, and bath towels are supplied.  Bring your own beach towels. Both bedrooms also have plenty of storage space with built-in wardrobes in each one.

The main bedroom has a queen bed fitted with a comfortable foam overlay, a padded mattress protector and quality pillows.

The second bedroom is large and is furnished with a queen bed, and a king single bed with a single trundle bed underneath.

Beach Escape has a family bathroom accessed from the main living area, with a shower, hand basin and toilet.

Sandy Point Beach Escape is a memorable coastal retreat for a couple, two couples or a family, sleeping up to six people. There is parking for up to two cars.

Directions

There is no public transport to Sandy Point. 

There is a Vline bus from Melbourne to Yarram, with stops at Fish Creek and Foster.  Please make sure that you request in advance the availability of a pick up in Fish Creek or Foster to take you to and from Sandy Point as this may not always be possible..

Sandy Point is 2 hours 30 minutes drive from the Melbourne CBD through beautiful South Gippsland farming country ,
20 minute drive to Wilsons Promontory National Park ,

5 minute drive to Shallow Inlet Coastal Marine Park. You can drive your car onto the beach at low tide and launch you boat ,

100 metre walk to a beach access track to Sandy Point Surf Beach, one of the safest surf beaches on the Victorian Coast.

During summer high season and weekends, the Sandy Point Cafe is open for takeaway hot food.

The Sandy Point General Store is open for general supplies 7 days a week.

Foster has good fresh meat, fish fruit and vegetables, supermarkets, restaurants a hotel which serves meals.

Fish Creek has the renowned Fishy Pub.

  • Sandy Point Beach Escape is not pet-friendly. Sandy Point Beach Escape is not fenced, does not have an area where pets can be constrained, no grassy areas and access to the apartment is by means of grated stairs not suitable for small paws.

Maximum 2 guests in the 1 bedroom apartment.

Weekly guests staying 6 or 7 or more nights, have access to the entire Sandy Point Beach Escape 2 bedroom apartment up to a maximum of 6 people.

Basic prices are for a maximum of 2 people sharing the queen bed of the main bedroom with no 2nd bedroom access. To obtain 2nd bedroom access at least 2 extra guests must be paid for.

Laundry Access:

  • Weekly guests staying 6 or 7 or more nights get free access to the laundry.
  • Short stay guests staying less than 6 nights do not have access to the laundry. Sandy Point Beach escape is totally reliable on rainwater. To help pay for the cartage of replacement water from Foster, a $11 per laundry access day charge is payable by short-stay guests to get laundry access. Optional Laundry Access information

Wi-Fi access:

  • Free 2GByte per booked night or 20GByte per booked week allocation of Wi-Fi download/upload capacity can be requested.  Guests requiring additional download/upload capacity, or guests exceeding their free limit must purchase an appropriate data pack. Payment Terms.

  • Each booking is made up of a total amount and a deposit amount.
  • Where the booking date is more than 14 days before the arrival/check-in date, the deposit amount must be paid before or on the specified deposit due date, to confirm the reserved booking.  If the deposit is not received by the specified due date, the reserved booking dates may be released and the booking cancelled. The balance of the total amount is due 14 days before check-in.
  • Where the booking date is less than 2 weeks before the arrival/check-in date, the total amount must be paid before or on the specified due date, to confirm the reserved booking.  If the total amount is not received by the specified due date the reserved booking dates may be released and the booking cancelled.
  • Please notify us when a payment has been made. If problems are experienced in making a payment please contact us immediately to avoid the booking being cancelled.

Payment can be made by PayPal, Visa, Master Card and Direct Bank Deposit.

Privacy Policy:

  • No Credit Card details are stored on any of our computers or servers.  If using PayPal to make a payment, Credit Card details are exchanged between the cardholder and PayPal. If using Visa or Mastercard, card details are taken over the phone and entered directly into the merchant services virtual point of sale terminal.

Cancellation Terms:

  • If the booking is cancelled 7 days prior to the arrival date, the deposit amount will be the cancellation fee.
  • If the booking is cancelled within 7 days of the check in date, the full amount paid (deposit amount or total amount) will be the cancellation fee unless a replacement booking can be found for the cancelled period. If a replacement booking is found the cancellation fee will be the deposit amount.
  • If alternate booking dates are requested more than 7 days prior to the check in date, all money paid can be transferred to the alternate booing which must be taken within 12 months of the original booking. No cancellation fee will apply. If the alternate dates are at a higher advertised rate than the original booking, the difference between the original booking total amount and the alternate booking total amount must be paid. Alternate booking dates requested within 7 days of check in have a cancellation fee of the deposit amount.

Laundry Access:

"Excellent stay, recommended" Excellent accomodation, clean and easy to organise/check in and out. Great value for money too. Highly recommended! There’s no proper oven, only a toaster oven, but this is only a minor quibble.

"Great place to stay" This apartment is spacious and warm. The beds and other furniture are comfortable and the whole premises is clean and pleasant to be in.

"Enjoyable stay for a few days" Four of us enjoyed staying at this Sandy Point accommodation. Has all the amenities and close to the shops and easy walk to the beach. Whilst some of the equipment is a bit dated its fine for a stay over a long weekend.
