Within walking distance to Hepburn Springs and only 3.2kms from the Daylesford GPO, Artisan is a delightful and homely miner’s cottage with modern, artistic décor.  With polished floorboards throughout and a fully equipped kitchen overlooking a sunny living and dining area, guests can relax by the fire or in the deep luxurious double spa. 

Artisan also features a diverse and eclectic selection of DVDs, CDs, board games and books to make your stay as interesting and enjoyable as possible.  We also provide guests with a selection of gourmet teas, organic coffee, aromatherapy oils, local boutique wine (2 nights or more) and wireless broadband internet.

Another feature of Artisan is the 'Retreat' - a perfect break-out space for solitude, writing, reading, yoga, meditation, or even working away from home. The Retreat comes complete with work table, wireless internet, yoga mats, essential oils, and comfy lie-about cushions - and only a few steps away from the main house! Magnifique! 

Located amidst private cottage gardens, Artisan is close to the golf course, restaurants, the Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa complex, and is perfect for couples, friends and families – pets included! It’s the perfect place for a short break – or a longer holiday.

We hope you and all of our future guests enjoy Artisan Retreat.  To ensure we keep our lovely Cottage in great condition and welcoming to everyone we just need to set in place a few simple terms and conditions. Please read on:

General Obligations

  • Artisan Retreat is non-smoking.
  • Artisan Retreat is pet friendly. Please advise us if your pet is going to be joining you. There is a $30 additional charge.
  • You will be advised of the pin number for key collection from the key safe at the property prior to your arrival.
  • Complimentary wi-fi is provided during your stay. Please be mindful of usage to ensure other guests are able to enjoy this facility.
  • Please leave the property in a neat and tidy manner on departure.
  • The owners reserve the right to charge any costs incurred to the guests for expenses such as, but not limited to:
    • Intentional or accidental damage to property, furniture, fixtures or fittings
    • Replacement of missing items
    • Excessive cleaning
    • Removal of excess rubbish
  • The name of the person on the original booking form remains the sole contact and is responsible for the property and all communications with the owners.
  • Please respect the local community and our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum.
  • The Owners are not responsible for the security of your belongings. Please ensure the property is locked when not occupied.
  • Please return the property keys to the key-safe prior to leaving and lock the key-safe.
  • Please lock the Retreat and leave the key on the hook by the front door.

Terms & conditions

Cancellation Policy:

  • 100% refund if cancelled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • 50% refund if cancelled at least 7 days before arrival date.
  • The booking fee is non-refundable.

Damage and incidentals:

  • You will be responsible for any damage to the rental property that is caused by you or your party during your stay.

"Enjoyable for family and pet!" It was a lovely stay, the hamper was a nice touch, everything you needed for family and dog in a quiet location still close to everything
