Briars Loft is a gorgeous 2 Bedroom Cottage, perfect for a romantic weekend, or a mid-week escape. The cottage is situated between the Daylesford township and Hepburn Springs. 

This beautifully appointed cottage oozes style and charm. Modern decor with warm colours throughout, maximising privacy with two separate bedrooms, the main with en-suite (indoor 2 person spa with overhead shower) and the other with adjoining bathroom. Both bedrooms are air-conditioned. 

Downstairs features a modern kitchen with a Euro laundry and an open plan lounge/dining. 
Ducted heating keeps you warm and cosy on those cold frosty nights and air-conditioners in both bedrooms keeps you cool in summer. 

Whole cottage, if the one bedroom option only has been booked then second bedroom and bathroom is locked. 

It's only 1 cottage - either a 1 bedroom option (master bedroom 1-2 people in QS with en-suite, second bedroom & bathroom locked) or the 2 bedroom option (1 bedroom plus second bedroom with 2 singles and adjoining bathroom) So max 4 guests not 6

First bedroom plus second bedroom with 2 single beds and a separate adjoining bathroom. Hair dryer, linen, towels and toiletries supplied.

Daylesford and Hepburn (neighbouring town) is famous for its mineral springs. One of our favourite places is the Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa, which is only a 5-minute drive from Briars Cottage. Visitors can enjoy anything from private healing mineral baths, to massages, facials, body wraps and polishes, manicures and pedicures. 
We can totally recommend the Sanctuary, which is not the public bath house.

When driving by car from the Western Highway
Drive over the Westgate Bridge and take the Western Ring Road. Then take the Western Highway exit that’s marked Ballarat. When you’re on the Western Highway drive for about an hour until you reach the Ballan/Daylesford turnoff. When you’re off the highway turn right. You’ll be heading towards Daylesford, this road turns into the main road into town called Vincent St. Keep driving through Daylesford, until you reach the second round about. Drive through the roundabout, the road turns into Hepburn Road. Keep driving until you pass the mini golf centre on your right, and you will see a sign for Briars Loft on the left hand side.

When travelling by car along the Calder Highway
Drive to the Tullamarine Freeway (a tollway to Bell St). Merge left into the Calder Highway towards Bendigo. Take the turn off to Woodend and drive through the town, pass the traffic lights and the pedestrian lights. Turn left at the street signed "Daylesford" on the opposite side (right side) of the road (the sign is easy to miss so take care not to miss it). Drive on for about 20km. When you hit Tylden, drive 1km then turn right into the Daylesford Road and then drive for another 20km. You’ll pass a pub on your left (Farmers Arms Hotel) - keep going over past the fountain until you come to a roundabout. Turn left right Vincent St, the road turns into Hepburn Road. Keep driving until you pass the mini golf centre on your right, and you will see a sign for Briars Loft on the left hand side.

Terms & conditions

1. Reservations

1.1. Reservations may be made by telephone or online.

1.2. Reservations require a fifty percent (50%) deposit of the total value at the time of booking, with the balance received no later than seven (7) days prior to arrival. You will receive an online invoice from us for the balance with details on payment options. Failure to comply may result in the reservation being cancelled and the deposit withheld by Briars – Daylesford.

1.3. Short notice reservations, i.e. less than seven (7) days prior to arrival date, are subject to full payment upon making the reservation.

1.4. Payments are accepted via Visa and MasterCard credit cards, PayPal or via direct bank deposit.

1.5. The full value of the reservation must be paid prior to receiving the keys.

2. Cancellations

2.1. Cancellations made greater than seven (7) days prior to the check-in date will result in the loss of deposit.

2.2 Cancellations made seven (7) days or less prior to the check-in date will be subject to payment of the full value of the reservation.

2.3 Rescheduling of reservation dates requires a minimum of thirty (30) days’ notice or by arrangement. Any reservation date changes under 30 days or less notice and will incur a $50 processing fee.

3. Accommodation Duration

3.1. Weekends are subject to a minimum two (2) night hire period, either Friday and Saturday nights or Saturday and Sunday nights. Long weekends may be subject to either a three (3) or four (4) night minimum hire period.

3.2. Overnight bookings are available mid-week.

3.3 Overnight bookings on weekends may be available on request or at short notice, BUT these will always be subject to current bookings and availability.

4. Accommodation Terms

4.1. Check in time is from 3.00 pm. Check out is required by 11am or by special arrangement.

4.2. The keys will be made available on site upon arrival. They are in a key safe at the front door. You will be sent a code on the day of check-in to access the keys.

4.3. Briars takes no responsibility for failure of utilities or appliances. Briars will endeavour to have any faults rectified as soon as possible upon being notified of such faults. No refunds will apply due to utilities or appliances not being available during rental periods.

4.4. Briars takes no responsibility for the loss or damage of guest’s belongings. It is the guest’s responsibility during the rental period to secure and lock doors and windows when not in attendance.

4.5. Accommodation servicing and cleaning will be completed before and after the hire period or by special arrangement for extended hire periods.

4.6. Additional cleaning costs incurred due to parties, gatherings or other circumstances may be charged to the guests. This additional charge will be at the sole discretion of Briars.

4.7. Excessive noise or other behaviour complaints will be subject to one warning. Any further complaints will result in immediate eviction with no refund.

4.8. For health and safety reasons, NO SMOKING is permitted anywhere inside the property. When smoking outside, cigarette butts must be deposited in the ashtray provided.

4.9. No pets are allowed either inside or outside.

5. Damaged or Lost Property

5.1. Briars must be notified immediately of any loss or damage to Briars property. Guests will be charged reasonable costs for any repair or replacement of any property lost, removed or damaged.

5.2. Briars reserves the right to debit the credit card tendered or seek other payment for any additional charges incurred from lost, missing or damaged property or additional cleaning.
