Perfect studio apartment for couples or business travellers in Hobart

This beautiful and spacious studio apartment has been recently renovated with new kitchen, bathroom and furnishings to provide you with a relaxing "home away from home".

You’ll be in a fabulous location in lower Sandy Bay, with a short walk to the beach and various shops and cafes. Beach and shops (400m) Wrest Point Casino and UTAS (3km) Hobart CBD and Salamanca Market (<5km) The well-loved Long Beach is close by to watch some gorgeous sunset while having a drink in the nearby bars and cafes. 

The new kitchen is fully furnished with a cooktop, oven, full-size fridge, microwave, toaster etc and cookware etc so you can easily cook a meal should you wish. There are also ready-to-cook meals, take-away and eating options nearby.

The plush king sized bed will lull you into a blissful sleep at night. For the third guest, there is a comfortable trundle bed that can be laid out. 

The bathroom has been newly renovated and features a shower over bathtub. And you can travel light for your holiday, because the inbuilt washer and dryer will make washing a breeze.

We can also provide cots, high-chairs, or baby bathtub for $30 per week each. Please arrange upfront. We're happy to provide children's toys and books at no extra cost if you're booking any other baby items.

The whole apartment is conveniently located on one level with direct access from the driveway. You can use the driveway for loading and unloading. Once you've unloaded, you can park the car back at the upper level, at your allotted car space.

Fee for the trundle bed is included in the stay if the booking is for 3 guests. If the booking is for 2 guests who want to sleep on separate beds - king bed and trundle bed, there is an extra one time charge of $30. Please confirm and arrange upfront.

Long Beach House is perfectly located in the heart of Sandy Bay, one of those eclectic and premier suburbs. It is in a sought after area close to Hobart CBD but also gaining popularity as a university suburb and so has an interesting mix of diverse cultures. You can walk to the beach, casino, shops, university, yachts clubs, cafes and restaurants. Hobart city is $20 cab fare away. Enjoy a 10 minute drive through historic Battery Point to Salamanca and the Sullivans Cove waterfront precinct, where you'll find Salamanca Market (Saturdays) and an array of local retailers including arts & crafts, produce, cafes and restaurants.


It normally takes about half an hour to drive from the airport.

At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Tasman Hwy/A3
Take Davey St/A6 and Sandy Bay Rd/B68 to Wayne Ave in Sandy Bay
The house is located on Wayne Avenue just before it meets Churchill Avenue.
If you are not driving, there are also taxis available outside the airport. The fare would be between $40-60.

All guests and visitors must comply with these house rules. Violation of these rules can result in extra charges and/or eviction in extreme cases:

i.Any unauthorized visitors must not stay overnight.

ii.This is a residential premise in a quiet neighborhood. Please be respectful and keep noise to a minimum at all times during your occupancy. Strictly no parties.

iii.Children must be supervised at all times. Decorator items and furniture etc. must not be used as toys or moved.

iv.Please do not leave any dirty dishes behind.

v.Garbage must be disposed off properly. Excess garbage must not be left in public or common areas.

vi.Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.

vii.All appliances and items are provided for your convenience during your stay. If you wish to take them with you, extra charges will apply.

viii.While checking out, please close all doors and windows, and leave keys in the key box just as you found them when you arrived.

Terms & conditions

Payments are made by credit card (Visa or Mastercard). A non-refundable deposit of the first night's accommodation confirms your booking. This deposit will not be refunded if the booking is cancelled.

Remainder of full tariff is to be paid at least 1 month prior to your arrival date. Failure to remit the full tariff by this time may result in cancellation of your booking, unless alternative payment arrangements have been made by agreement with management - please contact to discuss.

Bookings made within 1 month of arrival date must be paid for in full at the time of booking.

Bookings once made are not cancellable.

A credit card authority for security deposit is required at the time of booking for up to $100 to cover costs of damage or breakages occurring during your stay. No deductions will be made unless we need to make a claim against your security deposit. If required, this will be done within 7 working days after your departure.

Extra adult and child (16 and under) fees appear near published nightly rates. 

Bed Linen and towels are supplied, in addition to full kitchen facilities.

Extra linen or towels can be supplied. Cots and extra roll-away bed can also be provided but need to be booked in advance. Charges apply. 

Permitted use of the property is for quiet enjoyment only, parties & functions are strictly prohibited. 

No smoking, no pets allowed.

Any breach of the above conditions permits the owner to refuse the key, or immediately terminate the occupancy with forfeiture of your tariff.
The owners take no responsibility for tenant’s personal property during their stay. Damage, breakages, theft and loss are tenants responsibility.

This is a lovely studio apartment with great facilities. The offstreet parking was appreciated, and it was nice to see a view of the water from the front door. Nespresso machine was very welcome! The bathroom refit is stylish, and the shower has good water pressure. We had a lovely stay - thanks Kanika.
