Description
Bambra Reef Lodge in Lauderdale is the ideal spot for those wanting a relaxing beach holiday or to use as a base for exploring South East Tasmania. Enjoy a swim in the pool, walks along the beach, a game of pool, picnics at other nearby beaches or head for Hobart which is only 18Km away. From Bambra Reef Lodge, it is an easy day trip to Pt Arthur and the Tasman Peninsula, Orford on the east coast or the wineries around historic Richmond.
Bambra Lodge is a newly refurbished three bedroom, one bathroom semi detached holiday house situated on a picturesque beachfront property at Lauderdale. The house has an open plan kitchen/living/dining room which overlooks and opens onto a paved, fenced area enclosing a solar heated swimming pool. One bedroom has a queen sized bed and the other two each have 2 single beds so the Lodge can sleep up to 6 people, or 7 including a baby as a porta-cot is also available. There is a separate laundry, a second toilet and a clothesline.
Outside is a private undercover eating area and barbeque for sole use of the guests of the Lodge and the beautiful uncrowded Roches Beach is only 150 metres walk away. The residents of the Lodge have shared use of the pool, spacious garden, and gravel tennis court. Arrangements can be made for access to the separate games room which has a 3/4 sized pool table. The bedrooms overlook the pool on one side and the orchard on the other. The property is also home to ducks, a sheep, chooks and various wildlife including bandicoots, possums, potaroos and native hens.

"Loved it." Generosity and flexibility of the hosts. Comfortable, clean and modern facilities in the fully self contained house. The pool. 20 minutes/20kms to Salamanca/Hobart. 15 minutes to Richmond. 60 minutes to Port Arthur.

"Lots of family fun!" We had a lovely relaxing time at Bambra Reed Lodge. Something for everyone to do - swimming in the pool, walking on the beautiful beach (just metres away), games room, chooks to feed and only 10 minutes from Clifton surf beach. Julie and Geoff were very considerate and thoughtful. The kids loved it.
