Situated ion the edge of the Great Western Tiers in Northern Tasmania it is a short drive from Launceston and Devonport airports and the historic township of Deloraine, renowned for its art and crafts. Some of the best short walks in Tasmania are located nearby. There are many day touring options from the Lodge and a unique rainforest walk from the edge of the property. An excellent flyfishing stream offers hours of entertainment and relaxation for keen anglers.

Directions

We are located in the valley of Jackeys Marsh 21 kms from Deoiraine and 7 kms from Meander. Take the A5 then the C167 to Meander and follow the sign posts to Forest Walks Lodge from the township of Meander, south of Deloraine.

Terms & conditions

A deposit of the equivalent of the first night of the booking is required to secure the booking.

A full breakfast is included in the tarrif. Dinner is an optional extra and a three couse gourmet dinner is provided on request for $60 per head but prior booking is required. There are no cooking facilities available to guests except for tea and coffee making facilities although we generally supply the tea and coffee on request. A thermos of hot water may be made available for guests overnight. Guests are welcome to picnic on their balcony or in their room if they do not wish to take the dinner option. We are 20km from the nearest restaurant or cafe.
