Description

After a painstaking restoration and redevelopment process, The Alexander Apartment exudes character with all the thoughtful touches of home. 
The Alexander Apartment pays homage to its history while also being effortlessly modern.  Raw brick walls and original timber floors meet sleek, luxury style and comfort.  Mere moments from the centre of the city, you have the best of Hobart at your fingertips.

The Alexander Apartment is split between three floors; the first floor is the foyer and entrance, which leads up to the open plan kitchen/living/dining. There is also a toilet and laundry room on this floor. The kitchen is fully equipped for you to cook up a storm, or simply make barista style coffee with the Nespresso pod machine (we provide the coffee and milk). The living area has a Samsung smart TV and a selection of beautiful books. The dining area has an antique 6 seater dining table with linen napkins. 

You'll find the two high ceilinged, loft style bedrooms on the top floor, both with king beds and built in wardrobes. The bathroom is also on this floor, where we provide the locally and ethically made shampoo, conditioner, and body wash 'Milie'. 

All linen and towels are freshly laundered and provided. If you require more towels or a linen change during your stay, simply get in touch and we can organise this for you.

There is secure, onsite parking available for one vehicle during your stay.

Guests will be given detailed access instructions, with the key safe code, on the day prior to their arrival, assuming an ID has been obtained and payment has been processed.

We require a copy of a government issued photo ID to be sent to us prior to guests arrival, e.g. drivers license. Strictly no parties, no smoking, and no pets. 

The apartment is regretfully not wheelchair accessible due to the multiple levels and flights of stairs. Please also keep this in mind when booking for an elderly guest. This apartment is also not suitable for babies or young children.

Please note a 1.5% surcharge is applied to all credit card payments.

Guests are responsible for the safekeeping of accommodation keys. You will be liable for damage caused when doors have to be forced open owing to the key being lost and also cost of replacement keys and locks.


No responsibility is taken for the guest’s personal property left on the premises; however we will make every attempt to contact you should items be left behind. Cost of returning items will be at your expense.

We have a very strict No Party policy. Any behaviour deemed to be disturbing the peace will result in instant eviction from the property. The number of occupants must not exceed the original number as stated when the booking was confirmed.

Well, what can I say. If the incredible building doesn’t blow you away, the interiors, styling, gorgeous comforts and additions will. Staying here was an absolute honour. I adored your space and was honoured to experience Hobart and the beauty of The Rox. I walked everywhere which definitely gave me a sense of comfort and familiarity and it felt like my home away from home. Highly recommend. You won’t regret it!
