On the ground floor of Roxburgh House, built in 1890, this classic apartment is far removed from the normal bland hotel rooms or standard apartments. It has a huge living-room with smart TV, fast internet (National Broadband Network) with a garden outlook in the heart of the city, and a kitchen and bathroom. With a host of trendy eateries, bars, coffee shops, pubs and speciality shops within 200 metres, plus the waterfront and North Hobart within 5-10 minutes walk you are in an enviable location to explore the joys of Hobart from here.

The front garden is for the exclusive use of all three apartments in Roxburgh House. A gracious entrance hallway is shared with the other two apartments in the building, one on the ground floor and the other on the first floor.

One of these is a self-contained two-roomed suite (with its own separate bathroom) on the other side of the hallway on the ground-floor of Roxburgh House which can be used to accommodate 2-4 additional guests if more space is required. Together with ground-floor Apartment 2, this huge space can combine to make a "home away from home" on a grand scale, accommodating 6-8 people comfortably.

There is no parking included with this Apartment. if you are travelling with a car, please let us know in advance, and we will try our best to accommodate parking, but nothing can be gauranteed. There are ample car parks and paid parking very close to Roxburgh House, and we can suggest where to go if there are no onsite parks available.

The surrounding neighbourhood is fabulous! Roxburgh House sits in a retail homemaker precinct with Freedom, Harvey Norman, Choice Floors etc, But there are also some of the best coffee shops in Hobart on its doorstep, plus some cool bars and pubs and some small retail shops specialising in music, art, games, toys and children and babies.

No need to have a car to get around the city, waterfront, and North Hobart from Roxburgh House - all are within easy walking distance. The MONA ferry at the bottom of Elizabeth Street is also a comfortable walking distance, and public transport, taxis, and Ubers all run right by the front door. Undoubtedly the best and coolest way to travel around the CBD is via the E-scooters available for hire all over the city - download the app 'Beam' or 'Neuron' to use.

Guests are responsible for the safekeeping of accommodation keys. You will be liable for damage caused when doors have to be forced open owing to the key being lost and also cost of replacement keys and locks.

No responsibility is taken for the guest’s personal property left on the premises; however we will make every attempt to contact you should items be left behind. Cost of returning items will be at your expense.

We have a very strict No Party policy. Any behaviour deemed to be disturbing the peace will result in instant eviction from the property. The number of occupants must not exceed the original number as stated when the booking was confirmed.

Mary’s apartment was warm & welcoming when we arrived. The apartment was spotlessly clean, very spacious, with great kitchen & bathroom facilities. We had everything we needed for our stay. Roxburgh is perfectly positioned between the heart of Hobart & North Hobart where you will never be short of finding something delicious to eat. Mary’s communication was excellent and we would highly recommend.
