Located just 40 minutes south of Hobart,Donalea B&B is a 1920's double brick character home that boasts stunning river views, beautiful cottage gardens and luxurious facilities.
Privacy and personal service is assured with only two ensuite guest rooms, separate tea room with microwave, large guest lounge and private entrance.
On arrival, we spoil you with afternoon tea, which you can enjoy on the front balcony overlooking the gardens to the Huon River.
Both rooms are large with spacious ensuites (1 Spa Bath), TV/Video, electric blankets, hairdryers, clock radios and heating.

Located in the heart of the Huon Valley and among the apple orchards, we are close to the Tahune Airwalk, Hastings Caves, Huon Jetboat Rides and South West National Parks.

The room was clean and had all the facilities for good experience. The service was pleasant and friendly, the breakfast tasty and the views beautiful and very peaceful.

“Great stay, would recommend it” Donalea was a great place to stay, big and more than enough room for the 2 of us. Breakfast was nice and everything was there that we needed. There's a lovely view from the apartment and the beds are comfy and warm. The choccies and cake were a nice extra touch and the hosts were friendly and helpful.

“Very relaxing stay in a clean and beautiful home with hospitable host.” Don and Lea were wonderful. Don helped us with our luggage. I was pleasantly surprised by the freshly baked fruit cake that was placed in our room when we checked in. The room was very clean. We loved the clean smelling sheets, comforters and pillows. Very comfortable beds and pillows. The property is in a quiet and serene spot of Huon that is next to the river accessible on foot. Full privacy. We could spend our time in the living room or porch with books to read. We even saw pademelons in their garden. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate available through out the day. There’s also a microwave oven for heating food. The Continental Breakfast was great with all kinds of berries, cereal, yogurt, home baked bread. They even provided Ziplock bags for us to take the muffins and croissants as we go out. Very sweet couple.

We were greeted warmly and shown around. Accommodation had a lovely view of the river but as it was cool and raining so we didn't venture outside to enjoy it. Living space was well presented and spacious, owner said it had a kitchenette - it also was spacious and had plenty of applicances to cook our meal and breakfast (which was provided) Owners contacted me quickly to inform me an item was left behind, they kindly offered to post this to me.

Beautifully presented large apartment in ideal spot for exploring the Huon Valley and all attractions. More than enough comforts and inclusions for a few days' stay. Don and Leanne are excellent hosts, informative but unobtrusive, and go out of their way to make one's stay comfortable and welcoming. Highly recommended and would stay again. Ross and Jill April 2013
