Description
19 Blue is a modern, one bedroom, self-contained holiday cottage situated in the lovely beach-side suburb of Blackmans Bay. Just twelve minutes from Hobart, it makes an ideal base for all your southern Tasmanian tourism destinations.
A verandah runs the full length of the front of the cottage where guests can enjoy a relaxing drink, after a day's sightseeing, looking over to Blackmans Bay. An outside table catches morning sun to enjoy breakfast or coffee. The cottage overlooks the owner's vegetable garden from which you may pick vegetables for your own needs. A charming deck near the entrance way is a lovely, vine covered, space to relax and read a book or enjoy breakfast on a sunny morning!
Parking is off street.
This fully equipped, modern cottage has all you need for a comfortable stay with a queen sized bed, laundry and kitchen facilities.
Country breakfast ingredients are supplied with free range, wood – smoked Cygnet bacon and free range eggs, or enjoy home – bottled fruit with and muesli! PLUS a home baked loaf of bread to welcome you!!!
Relax on the verandah overlooking our organic vegetable garden. You can stay home and prepare your own evening meal, help yourself to fruits in season, or try veggies harvested straight from the garden for a real flavour hit!
Or if cooking is not part of your holiday plan, it’s only a short walk down to Blackmans Bay Beach where there are two lovely restaurants. The nearby Bayview Shopping Centre has other eateries and a range of shops to purchase supplies.
Judith and Chris are happy to share their extensive experience in the tourism industry with you and they supply itinerary folders and suggested day trips.

"Warm and Welcome" 19 Blue is extraordinary in so many ways. When you first walk in you immediately feel that you are coming home. The decor is so warm and relaxing with sliding doors going out to a deck with a beautiful view. The front deck is a secluded area with a lot of lush greenery. There are fresh eggs from their chickens in the fridge and if cooking is your thing, they have a vegetable garden you are encouraged to pick from. The bed is very comfortable. The entire cottage is clean and inviting. The hosts love opening up this cottage to their guests and enjoy meeting you. However, if you want to quietly come and go, they will never bother you. There are plenty of walks you can take in the area and just short drives to several beaches and area attractions and restaurants.

"Little home away from home!" We loved our stay at 19 Blue! Such hospitable thoughtful hosts and there wasn't one thing to fault. Loved the fresh homemade bread and jam, and the fresh eggs and bacon. The location was also perfect to explore the Hobart surrounding areas during our first few days in Tassie. Highly recommended! Thanks Judith and Chris!

"A wonderful stay!" We recently gave ourselves a short break from grandparent activities and had a most wonderful stay at 19 Blue. The location suited us perfectly: a short zippy trip into Hobart, and easy access to Bruny Island, Cygnet and southern bays and forests. In addition 19 Blue is gorgeous; lovely garden with cornflowers and Cecil Brunner roses together with home bottled fruit and organic broad beans to pick. Loved the chooks too, didn't have to waste any food scraps. The cottage is really comfortable and set up with such care and consideration. Hosts Judith and Chris are friendly, caring and absolutely considerate. We'd love to return.
