Mandala Waterfront Holiday Rental Bruny Island

Mandala is a charming, well furnished and superbly equipped,  3-4 bedroom holiday home in an idyllic waterfront setting on Bruny Island, Southern Tasmania. It is set on 2.7 hectares of private bushland with magnificent coastal views.  Mandala should feel immediately like a holiday home from home.

Mandala is fully equipped with all the creature comforts, recreational gear, and homely touches for a fun and relaxing stay, including a well equipped kitchen, a large deck and BBQ, a separate games shed with table tennis, a fleet of sea kayaks, and a wood stove for cooler evenings.

The large living room is comfortable and cosy and has mesmerising views of the channel and the mountains beyond. A wood burning stove (wood supplied) keeps you warm in cooler weather and there is a TV, DVD and CD player.

The modern kitchen is well equipped with gas cook-top, electric fan oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge / freezer and assorted electric appliances including bread maker, blender and sandwich toaster. 

Mandala sleeps up to 11 in two queen bedrooms, a third bedroom with a bunk and two singles, and an open loft room overlooking the living room (queen bed and single futon). The layout is spacious and well organised so it has ample capacity for smaller groups. 

The large sunny deck is great for outdoor dining and generally relaxing. It can also be gated off to provide a safe play area for small children. A 4-burner gas barbeque is provided. 

The front veranda is the ideal spot to sit and catch the late afternoon sun or enjoy an evening drink as the sun sets over the channel. 

The games shed houses a table tennis table (plus equipment), the sea kayaks (plus paddles and PFD’s for adults and children), and other assorted recreational gear.

Mandala is located 3 kms north of Alonnah on South Bruny Island, overlooking the D’Entrecasteaux channel between the island and Tasmania’s mainland. Access is via the Bruny Island car ferry from Kettering (30 minutes from Hobart) to Roberts Point on North Bruny Island (Alonnah is 35 minutes from Roberts Point).

Mandala occupies a private bush/waterfront setting with a North-Westerly aspect and is within easy reach of all South Bruny’s many attractions. The nearest swimming beach at Alonnah is a 3 minute drive, or 20 minute walk along a coastal path. There is also a shop, hotel (the only one on Bruny!) and variety of other establishments at Alonnah.
