Eagle Foundry Bed & Breakfast - Thomson Suite

Eagle Foundry Bed and Breakfast is located in historic Gawler, South Australia's first country town. Gawler is a picturesque, well planned town which is only 40 minutes drive from Adelaide and at the gateway to the world famous Barossa Valley wine region.
Located within the heritage listed Church Hill area of Gawler, the Eagle Foundry (circa 1870) has been carefully restored to reveal the antiquated atmosphere of eras past. Situated on 3/4 of an acre, the property radiates unmistakable country ambience.

Eagle Foundry Bed & Breakfast offers guests two self contained accommodation suites: (1) Our intimate Bridal / Foundry suite or (2) Our larger and totally unique Thomson suite.

Both suites have private entrances and back on to the stone walled courtyard where guests can relax in the spa or use the 6 burner hooded BBQ to cook up a culinary delight.

Off street parking is available at the rear of the Eagle Foundry where guests can park their vehicles directly adjacent to their suites. Guests are also welcome to enjoy the tranquil gardens or sit and relax in one of the many outdoor relaxation areas.

Eagle Foundry Bed & Breakfast also caters for disabled customers, business representatives and family groups. Wireless internet is available and both suites have LCD televisions and DVD players with movies. Laundry facilities are also available.

All accommodation is located within easy walking distance to Gawler’s historic main street, where you can enjoy a variety of different dining experiences and indulge in over 200 specialty shops, including major department stores. Public transport is nearby and the upgraded train service means you can be in Adelaide within 40 minutes.

Thomson Suite:

This is our largest and most impressive suite and is suitable for up to 6 guests.

The Thomson suite has one bedroom that has a character Australian queen bed plus a LCD television in the room. There is a separate kitchen, lounge room and bathroom in this suite.

The large “open plan” lounge room has a pool table, single and trundle bed, plus the sofa folds into a double bed if required. Another LCD television plus DVD player with movies are provided in this room and the slow combustion wood fire adds that special charm on those chilly winter evenings. For guests added comfort there is a split system reverse cycle air conditioner as well as two ceiling fans. The Jarrah bar area and granite fireplace surround are impressive features of the room.

The kitchen is functional and has all modern items like, 4 hot plate stove with electric oven, fridge, pantry and microwave oven.

This suite is also suitable for disabled guests as it has wheelchair access plus grab rails in the toilet and shower. There is also a hand operated shower rose and we can supply shower seating and other bathroom items for disabled guests.

Both suites have access to the tranquil gardens of the courtyard where guests can experience the heated spa pool or sit leisurely by the central fountain to read the selection of books and magazines that are provided in the suites.

The Thomson suite is suitable for family groups, disabled customers, company representatives and anyone looking to find accommodation in Gawler that is both pleasurable and totally unequalled.
