Our charming property encompasses the perfect mix of privacy and seclusion for a quiet, restful getaway, while being adjacent to Adelaide Hills wineries and towns and their many attractions.

Barrenjoey offers a fabulous farm stay escape for up to 6 adults and 3 children. Set mid-way between Gumeracha and Birdwood on picturesque Winton Road, it provides a unique blend of the old and the new.

Comprising the original 1800's stone cottage which has been restored and the larger adjoining house built in the 1980's. The house and cottage are not rented out separately and together they offer spacious, relaxing accommodation.

Barrenjoey is also an active AgroForestry concern and is surrounded by beautiful orchards, vineyards and livestock farms.

Our 2016 summer herb and veggie garden is finally established and under way - a wonderful opportunity to pick your own herbs to enjoy whilst at Barrenjoey.

This unique and inspiring farm is a perfect escape for anyone wishing to have peace, privacy and seclusion, while being within easy reach of Adelaide Hills towns and wineries. It caters for couples, families and small groups. And with 42 beautiful acres for guests to explore including 3 dams, quaint gardens and 20 acres of planted gums, there is something here for everyone....

Terms & conditions

Standard Terms and Conditions of Temporary Holiday Accommodation

Note: Variances can be agreed on but only by arrangement with the owner in writing.

Deposit of 50% non refundable is required to secure the booking. Payment of the rental deposit constitutes the client's acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Balance of the rental amount must be received in full 7 days prior to occupancy. If not the owner has the right to cancel the booking and attempt to re-let it.

The owners will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.

To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.

Number of Guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email. Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed upon with the owners in advance.

Parties and Functions are welcome but only when agreed upon in writing by both parties. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in additional charges.

Damage, Breakages, Theft and Loss are the tenants' responsibility during their stay.

Arrival and Departure - the property should be left in a similar state to its condition as on arrival. Check-in time is 3pm and check-out time is 10 am. However these times are negotiable if early check-in/late check-out is available and will be at no extra charge.

Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental.

Pets are welcome but only if specific arrangements have been made in writing with the owner. 

Loss - the owners take no responsibility for the tenants' personal property.

Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements with the owner in writing.

A real home away from home! We felt relaxed as soon as we drove in. Stunning gardens and scenery to look at and the house is just so warm and homely and full of country charm. We’ve never felt so ‘at home’ while we’re away. They’ve thought of absolutely everything. With two young children we had great adventures on the property, from swinging under the tree to spotting rabbits and having meals in our very own outdoor cafe. Our 4 year old loved the cubby house. Thank you so much. Wonderful stay!

"Beautiful cottage in Perfect Surroundings" Robin and Gary’s beautiful cottage and fully equipped house was well above expectations. The homely wood fire and the country settings with manicured gardens was amazing. Our time was too short and we will definitely be coming back for a longer stay. Thank you to Robin and Gary for their hospitality and having the fire well stoked even on our very late arrival.

"Exceptional service" Robin and Garry went out of their way to accommodate us and our extra guests. House had everything we needed including breakfast supplies, Pity we didn’t have more time to enjoy the lovely surrounds. Thank you for going the extra mile and we appreciated all the little extras.

"Simply wonderful" This is our all time favourite holiday setting. We bring our grandsons here to create memories and Barrenjoey never fails to deliver in every aspect. Beds are very comfortable with beautiful linen, kitchen has everything your heart desires and the fire in winter is a winner!! Do as much or as little as you choose....... Barrenjoey will steal your heart as it has stolen ours.
