Whispering Valley is a place to breathe real fresh air, wonder at the stars and wake to the sounds of nature with someone special. It is a place to call your own, so come and explore our secret hideaway. We think you'll find it the perfect antidote to the daily grind with the chance for your very own Tree Change.

Whispering Valley Cottages Maleny is a totally secluded fifty acre retreat surrounded by state forest where luxury cottages nestle carefully into the environment. Each is discretely positioned for maximum privacy with lovely views across a hidden valley to the forest beyond.

We also have two bedroom cottages with one or two bathrooms and a four bedroom farmhouse located on separate acreage for small groups looking for a country escape.

Location

  • For Sat Nav punch in Schultz Rd (Witta) then follow it to our street Rosegum Lane
  • From Brisbane take Bruce Highway north to Sunshine Coast
  • Take Beerburrum exit from Bruce onto Steve Irwin Way.
  • LEFT at Landsborough and straight through town to Maleny
  • From the north take Bruce Hwy until the Landsborough turnoff
  • When you reach Maleny - (We are 13.5 m from town).
  • At Police station (middle of town on left) reset trip meter to 0.0km
  • Drive out of town towards Kenilworth.
  • Turn right into Curramore Rd just after the large red "Steep Descent" sign at 8.9km.
  • Take 4th right into Schultz Rd at. 11.1 km.
  • Right turn at T-junction into Rosegum Lane at. 13.5km.
  • 350m down on the left look for the Whispering Valley Cottage Retreat' sign on a small stone wall at our gate.

Booking Terms & Conditions

  • Check in time is 2.30 PM and check out is 11 AM .    
  • Minimum Stay - 2 night weekends & 3 night long weekends, 4 nights Easter/christmas/new year (specials not valid long w/e and festive breaks)
  • A deposit of up to 50% is required to secure all bookings
  • 2 night rate prorata for Public Holidays, Easter, Christmas & New Year Period
  • Mid week is Mon-Thur (or for 5 nights Sun-Thur)
  • We accept cash, Mastercard, Visa and debit cards.
  • Cancellation 14 days or more prior to booking date will incur a $40 administration fee.
  • There will be no refund of deposit for cancellations less than 14 days prior to booking date. (30 days for farmhouse bookings)
  • Smoking is allowed on verandahs only.
  • No pets allowed at cottages
  • Excess Cleaning charges apply in circumstances where cottages are left in an unacceptable state.

Very friendly service, accomodation very private and comfy with the warm fire. Sitting out on the back deck there are kookaburra's that come to say hi, and the view of the valley is beautiful! The quality of the coffee was good and there was a good supply of fire wood. Overall - Fantastic! We will be back!

Quality of accommodation was excellent- privacy, well appointed facilities, not to mention the donkeys - if you like donkeys you will like these guys. Highly recommended for a quiet chill-out.

Property has everything we required for our stay. Comfortable large open lounge area, balcony overlooking rolling hills, seclusion, quiet, clean and well presented.
