Amendments or cancellations to our Flexible Rate reservations can be made up to 24 hours prior to arrival to avoid one night’s cancellation fee. In the event of a non-arrival, cancellation or change after 2:00pm day prior to arrival, a fee equal to the first nights’ accommodation will be charged to the nominated credit card on file.
In the event your booking requires full pre-payment including any Seasonal Sale, no cancellation or amendments are available and is 100% non-refundable, non-transferable.
The Robert Towns accepts Mastercard, Visa Card, American Express. A 2% surcharge applies to American Express and a 1.5% surcharge applies to all other credit card transactions. Flexible Rate reservations require a credit card to secure the reservation only and will not be charged until time of arrival. Pre-paid, non-refundable rates require a credit card for full pre-payment at time of reservation. The Hotel Reception will be required to process a pre-authorisation of $50.00 on this card at time of arrival for bond and incidental items per Hotel policy and procedures. This pre-authorisation will be held between the bank and the hotel until such time as settlement by the same card occurs and/or per the cardholder’s financial institution policy. A $100.00 cash bond per night maybe accepted in place of a credit card at management's discretion. The bond is to be held by the hotel until check-out and returned to the guest unless there is a breach of any of the below:
- activation of the fire alarm due to any reason other than a fire;
- smoking within the property;
- delay in check out other than with prior approval from the property management;
- lost keys;
- property damage.
The Robert Towns reserves the right to relocate any booking to a hotel of same standard if the circumstances arise. Guests must be at least 18 years of age to book hotels on this website. The Robert Towns does not accept liability for any errors or omissions on this website. The Robert Towns makes every effort to ensure all information is accurate, however cannot guarantee that the site is free from errors or faults. The Robert Towns has a strict no party policy, if at all we suspect your booking may violate this policy we will have your booking cancelled. At check-in if we suspect your booking is going to cause other guests some disruption/discomfort, your booking will be refused and no refund issued. Good Nights Rest Policy
To ensure the comfort and enjoyment of all our guests the hotel enforces a Good Night’s Rest Policy in our guest rooms. Only registered guests are permitted to enter guest rooms after 9:00 pm. All guests must be registered at check-in. If a disturbance is created, as a result of a party or noise from a guest room, all guests in the room will be asked to leave the hotel, without a refund. These guidelines are in place to ensure every guest enjoys a peaceful and pleasant stay in our hotel. The Robert Towns is proudly a 100% smoke free property in consideration of our guest’s well-being. Fees apply for non-compliance to this condition.
Check in and check out times
Check in is available from 2:00pm and departure by 10:00am. Please advise of your estimated arrival time. In the event of an early arrival, we will endeavour to have your room ready, however would be delighted to store your luggage while you explore Townsville. Please note that photo identification will be required on arrival.
Check out time is strictly by 10:00am. Failure to check out by 10am may result in another night’s stay being charged.
In the event that there is excessive cleaning required a minimum cleaning charge of $100 will be levied to the room charge.
Please note that children aged 0 - 12 years are inclusive in your accommodation rate. Additional person charges apply for ages 13 years and above.
