Honeybee House is a fully furnished, self-contained and air-conditioned holiday home located at Speewah. The house is a short drive from the rainforest village of Kuranda in Tropical North Queensland, Australia. Cairns International Airport is just 35 minutes away. 

Honeybee House has two bedrooms and will accommodate up to 4 guests in two queen size beds. A wood burning fire in the lounge/dining room ensures that the house keeps nice and warm in the colder months of the year (June to August). The house is set on 5 acres of tropical gardens and rainforest and is the perfect base from which to explore Kuranda, Cairns, Port Douglas and the Atherton Tablelands. We offer guests free WiFi in a quiet retreat. There is ONLY Telstra mobile telephone reception at Honeybee House. 

Majestic rainforest trees, as well as mango, lychee, black sapote, white sapote, macadamia, soursop, mandarin, orange, cherry, tamarind and jackfruit trees can be found in the garden. Tropical butterflies, birds, wallabies, frogs and reptiles are some of the creatures you may see during your stay.

There are so many exciting attractions to experience in Kuranda and on the Atherton Tablelands that it makes sense to spend a few days enjoying life in this wonderful part of the World.

The nearest swimming pool from Honeybee House is at the Speewah Tavern, just a couple of minutes drive away. There is also the Kuranda Aquatic Centre at 262 Myola Road, Kuranda.

Directions

Honeybee House is located at 146 Ganyan Drive, Speewah, Queensland 4881, Australia. If you’re arriving in Cairns by plane, hire yourself a car and make your way up the Kuranda Range Road. 

At the traffic lights by the entrance to Kuranda Village, continue through the intersection at the traffic lights on the Kennedy Highway for about 6 km. 

You will see a sign for Speewah on the left-hand side of the road where you to turn off to the left. From this turnoff it is 3 km to Honeybee House.

Drive over a bridge and turn right into Speewah Road and go past the Speewah Tavern and shop on your right. 

Continue along Speewah Road and take the second road on your right into Ganyan Drive. Continue along Ganyan Drive and you will go past Mahogany Drive on your right. Just before the next turning on your right (Walnut Close) is 146 Ganyan Drive, Speewah.

Payment is taken at any time and at least 21 days before the arrival date. 

A $500.00 security bond is taken, using the credit card details supplied at the time of booking, on the day of arrival and held for the duration of your stay. It will be refunded in full following inspection of the property after your stay, if there is no damage.

If you cancel less than 21 days prior to arrival, there is no refund.
