Nestled in 6ha of tranquil rainforest just 35km north-west of Brisbane, White Gum Cottage has a delightful rustic charm, cosy fireplace, serene rainforest views, plus all modern conveniences for a truly relaxing bush getaway.

Ideal for a romantic escape, or as a family retreat, your cosy cottage offers perfect privacy and seclusion. We take pride in the homely atmosphere, tasteful decor, attention to detail, and the personal touches of flowers, candles, port and chocolates.

Situated in the D’Aguilar Range 620m above sea level, Mount Glorious offers welcome relief from the summer heat (nights can get quite cool even in summer – be sure to pack a jumper). In winter, as mists waft through the rainforest, a roaring fire and electric blankets will keep away the chill.

Awake to the sound of whip birds and a magnificent view through majestic hoop pines and rose gums to the rainforest below.  Take a rainforest walk, stop at a local cafe, then back to your cottage for a massage, reading a book, sipping wine, a romantic candlelit meal, port and chocolates - how much more relaxing can it get?

Mount Glorious is approximately 45mins drive from Brisbane CBD (slightly more in peak hour)

From Brisbane – follow either Mt Nebo Rd from The Gap (approx 25km), or Mt Glorious Rd through Samford, to the T-intersection of Mt Nebo and Mt Glorious Roads. Continue another 2km along Mt Glorious Rd to the “Mt Glorious Village” sign. Turkey’s Nest is 300 metres on your right, the fifth letterbox  #1780.

Terms & conditions

To confirm a booking we require a deposit of 50% of the total accommodation cost, payable by credit card over the phone. Balance is payable on arrival.

Cancellations between 30 days and 14 days prior to arrival date will incur a 25% cancellation fee.

Cancellations between 14 days and 7 days prior to arrival date will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

Cancellations within 7 days will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

A waiver of these cancellation fees may apply if we are able to relet the property.

Pets - As the property is a wildlife refuge under the Land for Wildlife scheme we unfortunately cannot allow pets.
