Fitzroy Island Resort

Fitzroy Island is a tropical paradise of rainforest and beaches within the calm sheltered waters of the Great Barrier Reef, Queensland. A listed National Park the island is ideal for families or a romantic gateway. Visit for a day or stay overnight in our boutique 41/2 star island accommodation.

Located 45 minutes by the Fitzroy Fast Cat, from Cairns, the island facilities include a diving school, conference and wedding venue, restaurant, Foxy's Bar, walking trails, glass bottom tours, kayaking and snorkelling.

Facilities

Resort

The boutique resort has 99 rooms, offers 4 types of guest accommodation and is the only resort on the island. The facilities are exclusive to resort guests and include a restaurant, a large swimming pool and spa, a swim-up pool bar, conference rooms, indoor and outdoor function space, a cinema, games room and kids play room.

Fitzroy Island Resort is a licensed premises and BYO alcohol is not permitted onto the island in any form. All alcohol brought onto the island will be held by the resort until day of departure.

Resort Dining

Zephyr Restaurant is open daily for buffet breakfast and serves the essential morning cappuccino. At night the outdoor terraces come alive with diners enjoying the alfresco settings for a la carte dining. The menu is modern Australian, using locally sourced ingredients with nightly specials available. If you have special dietary requirements, please advise us on booking. The restaurant is fully licensed and has a wide selection of wines and beverages available. Celebrating a special event? Let us know and we can tailor make your dining experience.

The Pool Bar is open daily until 4.30pm for resort guests. The bar has a great range of cocktails, coffees and offers a light snack menu.

Foxy's Bar

A large Pacific Islands bar with a 70s structural theming, situated right on the beach front, about 100 metres from the resort buildings, south of the main creek (on the way to Nudey Beach). Foxy's has an excellent casual cafe style food menu and provides a wide range of food and drink options including kids meals and coffee.

Foxys opens late on the weekend with live entertainment. Foxys also has a committee meeting room available for sporting clubs.

The Dive and Adventure Centre

The Dive Shop has all you need to explore the beautiful coral reefs surrounding the island. From beginner dives, to night dives, for the novice to the experienced, the area is full of the wonders the Great Barrier Reef has to offer. The shop also hires out snorkel gear, stinger suits, kayaks with view ports and glass bottom boat tours.

Conference and Wedding Venue

Fitzroy Island Resort has all you need for conferencing and functions, located on one of the most unique and beautiful island locations, situated on the doorstep of the Great Barrier Reef. Whether celebrating a birthday, wedding, Christmas party, conference, team building or company retreat. The island boasts a number of indoor and outdoor function venues incuding the Wlecome Bay, Foxy's Bar, Zephyr Restaurant and the Poolside Bar.

General Store

The General Store is adjacent to Foxy's and has a range of packaged food, drinks and general needs including pies, sandwiches, ice-creams, BBQ packs, soft drinks and sunblock. Take away beer and wine are now available for purchase from Fox's Bar.
