The Summit B&B

The Summit B & B Holiday House, stunning timber floors are features of this large 4 bedroom Queenslander – non hosted so you have full use of the property and grounds, couples or groups of 4 can book as a 1 or 2 Bedroom B & B option or families can book the whole house which easily sleeps up to 8 persons with full kitchen, lounge room and inground heated pool and spa.

The Summit B&B, compared to the Retreat, has a slightly lower altitude on the properties slope, but still with magnificent views, this dwelling can be booked as individual B&B rooms or as an entire holiday house.

The extended local area is an ecological wonderland of delight for the traveller. It is one of the most diverse regions in Australia with 4 distinct landscapes within a very small area. A highlight is to visit “Platypus Bend” only a 15 minute drive from Atherton & The Summit, it is a 71 ha private property which is registered as “Land for Wildlife”.

Walks and canoe hire are available to get up close and view native rainforest with some of its inhabitants, such as platypus, Lumholtz tree kangaroo’s, echidna’s, green ring tailed possums, pademelons, Johnstone river turtles, fish and lots more, without the tourist “hordes” found at other sites.

The Atherton Tablelands is ideal for Mountain Bike riding, plans are in place for this region to be a leader in such pursuits as Mountain Biking to complement other activities as walking, kayaking and road cyclists.
