Multi Tourism Award Winning Hillcrest is located in beautiful Upper Crystal Creek, just outside historic Murwillumbah in the Tweed Valley, Tropical Northern NSW. Just 35 minutes drive from Gold Coast airport, 75 minutes from Brisbane, 45 mins from Byron Bay and 12 mins from Murwillumbah CBD.
 
COTTAGE:
Catering for one couple only, Hillcrest Honeymoon Spa Cottage is set in a secluded rainforest garden for the ultimate in peace and privacy. With real wood fire in the lounge , Hillcrest Cottage is ideal for a mid-winter romantic interlude, whilst ceiling fans and split system a/c make it comfortable for a peaceful getaway and a perfect honeymoon destination at any time of the year.

Other facilities include flat screen TV, DVD and stereo system with CD player. Separate from the lounge you'll find a Queen Size Bedroom, large ensuite bathroom with top of the range luxury double spa bath and separate shower, heater, hairdryer, towels, pool towels, robes, candles, bubble bath and a selection of toiletries.

As well as a fully equipped kitchen with full size gas stove and microwave oven, fridge, toaster and all kitchen equipment; glass sliding doors from the lounge open to your private verandah where you will find your own gas BBQ, sun lounges and outside dining suite for alfresco dining.

Cottage guests enjoy standard breakfast provisions with a loaf of home-made bread and free range eggs for night of arrival. A full brunch basket or poolside candle-lit dinner can be ordered at extra charge
 
BED AND BREAKFAST SUITES:
The two B&B suites are located in a private guest wing of the main house, which is built in the shape of a square dough-nut around a charming central atrium with fishpond, tropical plants and resident Green Tree Frogs during the warmer months. Please be aware that there are NO self catering facilities for the main house rooms so if you prefer to prepare your own food please book the Cottage.

Both guest suites enjoy Queen Size beds, ensuite bathrooms ~ the Spa Suite with luxury double spa bath, the Blue Room with full size  bath ~ both with separate showers, bath towels, pool towels, hairdryers, robes, candles, bubble bath and a selection of toiletries, as well as in-room tv and dvd players.

Both B&B Suites have double glass sliding doors to a large verandah with table, chairs and hammock outside each room and views over rolling green hills to Mt Warning in the distance.

The private guest lounge (with eco fireplace for winter, split system a/c for summer) is equipped with stereo system, Books, CD and DVD library, stocked fridge and 24 hour beverage-making facilities and opens to the central atrium. 

Main House B&B tariff includes daily room service,  and a full Gourmet breakfast menu complete with   home grown free-range eggs served to you in the dining room each morning.

Candle-lit dinners can be ordered at extra charge  (menu at hillcrestretreat.com/menu.htm) PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE ARE STRICTLY NO SELF CATERING FACILITIES FOR THE MAIN HOUSE B&B SUITES. If you wish to prepare your own food please book the Cottage.

BROADBAND:  There is 3G coverage across the property, Free Wi Fi is available in most areas
 
ACTIVITIES:
Enjoy an in-house massage (by advance appointment please), relax by the on-site salt-water swimming pool which enjoys some of the best views in the Tweed Valley, or with advance arrangement enjoy a candle-lit dinner in the poolside gazebo. In addition, Hillcrest is centrally located to 5 World Heritage Listed National Parks, horse-riding, golf, joy-flights, scenic village drives, arts & crafts markets, galleries, boat excursions, Harley motor-bike tours, pristine beaches, untouched rainforest and more.

Your hosts have extensive local knowledge, a wide range of tourist information on-site and will gladly help you plan the best things to see and do during your stay in the beautiful Tweed Valley.
 
PLEASE NOTE: There are strictly NO self-catering facilities in the main house B&B. If you wish to prepare food please book Hillcrest Cottage which has a fully equipped kitchen and gas bbq.

Both the Swimming Pool and pond in the main house central atrium are UNFENCED - therefore Hillcrest is not insured for and so CANNOT ALLOW CHILDREN (including babies) on the property at any time.  PLEASE take this condition seriously as you will lose your money if you book expecting to bring children (which includes babies)
Dogs are allowed but must NOT sleep on the beds only in the bed provided.(Extra cleaning fees will be incurred). Please clean up after your friend relieves themself

Terms and Conditions:
All damage to or theft of Hillcrest property will be charged at full replacement cost + travel time/petrol.

Cottage subject to excess cleaning charge if necessary (minimum $100 applied at host discretion).
