Merimbula is an ideal base from which to discover the treasures of the Sapphire Coast. A casual drive up Sapphire Coast Drive will present opportunities to discover art galleries or head lands over looking Wollagoot Lake and the Pacific Ocean  (some great views).   Stop in Tathra for a coffee on the wharf or at the Bakehouse before discovering more spectacular country and beaches on the way into Bermagui and lunch.   

Return inland and take a break while looking in on the Cobargo markets before checking out the Bega Cheese Heritage Centre (The Great Australian Cheese ) then head for home at Anchorbell.
