Built in 1892, The Chalet Guesthouse and Studio is a luxury accommodation venue set in extensive private gardens in the quiet village of Medlow Bath. The heritage listed guesthouse features a private collection of contemporary Australian art throughout, an original period dining room with open fireplace, quiet lounge room and a tennis court nearby. With only seven guest rooms you can be assured of personalised service that can’t be found in the large venues.

Centrally located in the Upper Blue Mountains, The Chalet is within walking discance of the iconic Hydro Majestic Hotel and only a short drive from the major regions of Wentworth Falls, Leura, Katoomba, Blackheath and Mt Victoria. It is close to the historic Jenolan Caves and is an ideal base for bushwalking or exploring the complex diversity of the Blue Mountains and its environs.

Accommodation

All rooms have a private modern ensuite, tea & coffee facilities, small refrigerator, electric blankets, linen, towels & robes, heating, clock radio, hair dryer, iron & ironing board, daily room servicing & free wi-fi access.

All bookings include a continental buffet breakfast with cooked breakfast available to order.

Restuarant 

Our restaurant is open for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights from 6pm. Our amazing chef is regularly changing our menu, with a focus on contemporary Australian cuisine with influences from around the world.

Medlow Bath is between Katoomba and Blackheath, so a great location to explore the Upper Blue Mountains. It is only a five minute drive to the impressive Evans Lookout or Govetts Leap, a ten minute drive puts you in Katoomba, Leura or Mount Victoria. You can walk to the Hydro Majestic Hotel

Terms & conditions

1. No smoking anywhere inside (this includes e-cigarettes). There is a smoking area provided on the front porch with ashtrays available. 
2. The Chalet Guesthouse and Studio is not responsible for the personal property of guests. Any lost or stolen property is the responsibility of the guest and we recommend guests ensure they have relevant travel insurance. 
3. All damages must be paid. This excludes what would be considered normal wear and tear. 
4. Any cleaning required in addition to the usual requirements must be paid for. Tea, coffee and wine stains are usually easy to clean and do not require any payment, but it is appreciated if guests let us know as soon as it happens to minimise the impact. 
5. The Chalet Guesthouse and Studio reserves the right to have disruptive or aggressive guests removed with no refund. (Please note this has never been needed so far.) 
6. The Chalet Guesthouse and Studio is fully licensed with an "on premises" licence. All regulations associated with the responsible service of alcohol will be maintained. This includes reporting to the police any incidence of a parent/adult providing alcohol to anyone under the age of 18, even their own children. 
7. All standard Australian Federal and State laws apply.

Payment Policy

Deposit will be charged to your nominated credit card. No booking fees apply.

Cancellation Policy

More than 2 days notice - deposit refunded less a $20 administration fee. 2 days notice or less - no refund.
