"Big Bell Farm puts the kangaroo in Kangaroo Valley" Yes Virginia, there is a town in Australia named Kangaroo Valley. And the kangaroos definitely outnumber the people. The people, however are friendlier, the kangaroos are a bit standoffish. We stayed 2 nights in a cabin at the Big Bell Farm. We woke up each morning to the rather raucous sound of kookaburras. Our front porch overlooked pastures full of cattle, goats, and kangaroos, with views to the southern highland mountains. The cabin was comfortably furnished and presented in a clean condition. It is equipped for cooking meals, though with Kangaroo Valley's inviting restaurants and cafes only a couple of miles away, why would anyone bother. The owner was very easy to work with and quick to respond to our inquiries. We were greeted with a smile when we showed up and given permission to explore the farm. One of our highlights was watching a kangaroo hop by a few yards from us, with her little Joey's head protruding from her pouch. This would be a perfect place to stay with children.
