Description
Byron Bay Vista Lodge is a beautiful well-equipped 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom house with fabulous views set in a tranquil location, privately apart from the main house on 2 acres of semi-tropical trees and landscaped gardens in Ewingsdale's premier Bay Vista Lane.
Only 5 minutes drive from Byron Bay beaches, markets and town centre with its world-class entertainment (4 nightclubs and 3 hotels with live bands most nights) fabulous dining, surfing and famous Byron Bay culture. The Lodge is close to wedding venues at Ewingsdale Hall, the Figtree Restaurant and Victoria's at Ewingsdale, and is just a short drive down the freeway to the Bluesfest and Splendour festivals. The heritage town of Bangalow is only 10 minutes drive and also offers quality restaurants, shops and a weekly farmers market for fresh, local, organic produce.
Escape the hustle and bustle of Byron and relax in the hammock on the private, spacious, high-ceilinged deck, set amongst beautiful gum trees with its own koala or lie on comfy wooden lounge chairs by the large, saltwater pool. Enjoy melodic birdsong and panoramic ocean and rural views stretching from Julian Rocks and Byron Bay lighthouse to the lush green hinterland hills of St Helena. The Lodge also overlooks expansive lawns, ornamental ponds, cow & horse paddocks and is close to a shady, tropical rainforest walk.
Swimming at night in the large saltwater pool beneath a star studded sky, by a white dolphin statue & tiger headed wall, among the shimmering rainbows generated by the underwater pool lights, is a truly memorable experience.
The Lodge comfortably sleeps 4 adults but can also sleep an extra person on a sofa bed in the downstairs bedroom, and 2 cots can be provided on request. Both bedrooms have 2 king size single beds that can be hooked and zipped together to make a king size double.
Downstairs is a large, private, terracotta-tiled master bedroom with ensuite and walk-in robe and upstairs the second bedroom has fitted wardrobes and easy access to the lodge's kitchen, dining and entertainment areas.
The dining area with New Zealand pine table, chairs and fully stacked bookcase adjoins the well-equipped kitchen of recycled Tasmanian oak with black impala granite benchtops and gas and stainless steel appliances.
The lounge is comprised of 2 large comfortable blue leather sofas and an armchair with matching acacia coffee tables and sideboard stocked with DVDs and games, original paintings, brass lamp, large digital TV, all set upon polished blackbutt wooden floors and a colourful hand-knotted persian rug.
The large wrap around, covered, spotted gum deck has a ceiling fan, dimmer lights, gas BBQ, outdoor hard wood furniture and great views. Overhead fans throughout the lodge and gentle ocean breezes keep you cool in summer and all windows and doors are fully screened and lockable.

"Time to relax" Steve is a great host and makes us welcome every time we stay here. Beautiful outlook, wonderful wildlife and a great location to unwind and relax. Our Daisy dog loves it here as much as we do.

"Beautiful location, great hosts, everything you need in a home away from home" Our family stayed two nights (wish it was longer!) with our fur baby as well. Location is quiet and picturesque with beautiful views but short drive to Byron Bay central if you want to be in the action. Steve was a great host. Lodge has everything you need. It’s like a home away from home. We’ll be back again.

We've enjoyed 7 wonderful days & nights in Byron Bay, and have been fortunate enough to enjoy the tranquil surrounds of Ewingsdale. Steve & Helen's Byron Bay Vista Lodge is a very accessible 5 minute car drive (or 15 minute bike ride on mostly bike paths) from Byron town centre. The lodge has a couple bedrooms and bathroom and a kitchen/living/dining area spilling out onto the sizeable deck. While the beds/bathrooms are perfectly comfortable and have thoughtful touches, the deck and living area are the jewel with this property. We enjoyed most meals (and plenty of time in between) eating on the deck looking to Byron Bay lighthouse as well as watching our dog play with their 3 very friendly pooches on the acreage below. The hammock got a big workout across all 7 days, and we both 'squeezed' in quite a few laps in the saltwater pool (and time on the pool deck reading in the sun). The kitchen is well-equipped, the bathrooms have some toiletries if you forget, the lounge has TV/DVD player (with HDMI cable to play movies off your computer if you forget your cable like me) + stereo. The location in Ewingsdale is terrific, maybe one of the few properties to enjoy the views to the lighthouse? You also get to enjoy 'urban acreage' sounds ... mowers in the background, cars moving slowly down gravel lanes, cows mooing and plenty of birdsong. We would happily stay here again with these friendly and accomodating hosts.
