If you're looking for the perfect country escape, Nightcap Cottage may just be what you're looking for. Its location is very special, with one of the most gorgeous hinterland views in the area. Come and stay and you'll soon understand why many guests come back again & again.

This is a charming fully self-contained cottage on the very edge of the village of Eureka in the heart of Byron Bay's beautiful hinterland. Named for its view towards the wooded hills of Nightcap National Park, the cottage has a wide covered deck which will be a spot you won't want to leave!
The cottage sleeps a maximum of four in two comfortable bedrooms. One bedroom has a king bed, the other has a queen bed. It is suitable for two couples or a family with one or two children. (This property may not be suitable for very young children as there are two flights of steps from the deck, neither of which has a gate).

There is a spacious living room with TV/DVD & great sound system and large sliding glass doors that open to a wide deck which wraps round two sides of the cottage. A BBQ is provided for your al fresco meals. There are ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living area.

There will be a complimentary fruit & goodies bowl to greet you on your arrival, also a supply of bread, milk, tea & coffee.

The tiny sleepy village of Eureka sits in the heart of the beautiful hinterland of Byron Bay. It enjoys a feeling of being far away from the rest of the world, yet it is only:

* a 5 minute drive to Federal or 8 minutes to Clunes with their great general stores & bottle shops...perfect for grabbing last minute food essentials and supplies. Federal also has the wonderful Doma Cafe, open every day for breakfast or lunch. Clunes also has a locally renowned butcher.

* a 10 min drive to the wonderful village of Bangalow with its abundance of great restaurants, cafes and shops

* a 25 min drive to the Byron Bay with all its diverse attractions

* a 30 minute drive from Lismore airport and 45 minutes drive from Coolangatta Airport

The wonderful natural & scenic attractions of the area are all within a short drive. Places such as:

  • Minyon Falls (which you can see from the cottage)
  • Whian Whian State Forest
  • Rocky Creek Dam
  • Nightcap National Park
  • Booyong Nature Reserve (with its colony of flying foxes)
  • The Channon & Nimbin

"Gorgeous Byron hinterland cottage" This cottage has the most amazing peaceful rural veiws and the sunlit deck in the afternoon is our favourite part of the stay. Set high on a hill you can see for miles over pastures and macadamia farms but then you're only a short drive up to federal with it's general store and cafes or Bangalow for more shops and restaurants.

"A little slice of paradise" Incredible views and outlooks from every part of this quaint and cosy rural cottage. Extra touches such as fresh flowers, chocolates, shortbread and fruit, made us feel very welcome. Glorious sunsets, millions of stars to be seen at night, the horses and cattle nearby, and the sound of the birds are just a few of the many things that make this cottage a very special and peaceful place to escape from the city. Didn't want to leave and will be back.

"Lovely cottage in a beautiful location." We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the property. Susie and Mick have equipped the cottage very well. Some local consumables left for us got things off to a good start. The situation is fantastic and beautiful views from the balcony. A great place to relax.
