Bush & Bay Cottage is a comfortable, cosy three bedroom house backing onto Jervis Bay National Park making this a popular drop in spot for a local family of kangaroos.

It also represents some of the best value accommodation in the Jervis Bay region - popular with families, and also frequented by couples and groups of friends.

The cottage has three bedrooms and sleeps 6 - two large rooms featuring queen size beds, and a third bedroom with a two queen single beds. The additional sofa bed in the living room increases numbers up to 8 in need.

Enjoy the wood combustion heater during the colder months, and the large country style balcony during the warmer months.

The dining table accommodates 6 people and dining bench 4.

The double garage has space for one car, and plenty of parking on the property as well.

You will find additional items such as a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, dryer, BBQ, and oil heaters as well as the wood fire.

The Natural Beauty of Jervis Bay and Surrounds

Erowal Bay originated as a small fishing village on the shores of St Georges Basin, and still retains its sleepy charm. The Basin is ideal for fishing, kyaking, sailing and recreational watercraft. The boat ramp is only 800 metres from the cottage.

Enter Booderee National Park 5 kms away and you are officially in the Australian Capital Territory. The Park is stunning with white beaches, walking trails, diving, and offers free tours and activities for park entry holders during school holidays.

4 kms away are the whitest sands of Hyams Beach offering great swimming in the hotter months, and very scenic walking along the shores all year long.

Nearby Vincentia has Woolworths, Aldi, Coles and specialty shops and Huskisson is the gateway to cafes, restaurants, dolphin and whale watching tours and a very quaint movie theatre.

Great tennis courts (6) are located in the same street and can be hired almost anytime outside of competition on Saturdays.

This area offers some of the best cycling you will ever experienced. Whether it is offroad, or riding with the peleton, bringing your bike is a must.

If you have a road bike you should look up Jervis Bay Triathlon Club and Nowra Velo Club websites for details on rides, races and activities.

Between May and November why not enjoy the amazing experience of whale watching? Or meet some of the many dolphins which live in Jervis Bay between October and May.

Sorry - no parties - no under age drinking permitted.

Minimum 3 day booking applies for public holiday weekends.

Directions

The house is 6 Grandview Street, Erowal Bay, 2540. We recommend you use Google Maps for directions by inputing 'Bush & Bay Cottage, Erowal Bay' or the following link:

http://maps.google.com/places/au/erowal-bay/grand-view-st/6/-bush-and-bay-cottage?hl=en

Please take care with SatNav devices such as TomTom which recognise yet to be built roads on the outskirts of Erowal Bay. If your SatNav or Google Map tells you to turn left into a dirt track surrounded by bush (ie Kinkuna Crescent), trust your intuition and keep driving straight ahead another 500 metres into Erowal Bay before accepting instructions! You should drive right into Erowal Bay town, and go along Naval Parade before taking any left turns.

If you are still unsure, feel free to contact us.

Keys can be found in a key safe on the left hand side of the front door. The code will be sent to you once final payment is recieved. Please take care to remember this code, and don't forget to return the key upon departure for the next guest.

If you arrive after dark you will find a light switch on the left hand side of the front door above the key safe.

We unfortunately cannot guarantee entry before 3pm. We are happy however for you to leave bags, etc locked in our garage (garage side door) using the keys mentioned above. You can then visit the Jervis Bay region whilst you wait for the house to be finalised. Please don't leave bags inside if the house is not made up, or food in the fridge - these will be mistaken as items of the previous guests.

Turn the green flow arrow to the other spare cyclinder and then turn the gas cyclider on via the tap, and you will have changed bottles within 20 seconds! "Great weekend getaway with friends and kids. Great location and clean and cozy" The accommodation was great! Way better than what we were expecting and it was very welcoming and clean. The morning welcome from the kangaroos was a bonus.

"Amazing, a beautiful escape away from Sydney" We liked the full functional kitchen, to having firewood to use to create a fire every night. This went well with wine and cheese o'clock.

"Fantastic Property" We had a great weekend away at Bush and Bay Cottage. We are a family of 5 and the house was the perfect size. The house was spacious with beautiful little touches. A home away from home! Geoff was very easy to deal with and accommodating. The bottle of wine was a lovely gesture, the bbq was lovely and clean, bedding great quality and plenty of items for use in the kitchen. The kangaroos were lovely to see not only in our yard but the whole area. The kids loved feeding the birds and the fireplace was the best! Plenty of timber! Thanks again Geoff. I would highly recommend this place. Just beautiful.
