The self contained cottage is totally solar and is 1/2 km from the road it is very private, set on 100acres only 7 kms from town.The cottage sleeps up to 6 people The house has 2 bed rooms 1 with queen bed the other with double bed. The lounge folds out a double bed with inerspring mattress. It is a very quaint cottage with wood heater slow combustion stove plus all modern cooking facilities. It has solar air conditioner and ceiling fans There is a washing machine with soap powder provided. There is an unnder cover outside area with a BBQ and fire place a great spot to sit and watch the stars. .Enjoy a bush walk or watch the birds and wildlife No smoking indoors but outdoor area is adequate. Pet's are aloud indoors at owners discretion. Coonabarabran is a small country town with a backdrop of the Warrumbungle Mountains. Siding Springs Observatory the Piliga Forest, Crystal Kingdom and the,sandstone caves are just a few of the local attractions. Western Plains Zoo is a 90 minute drive away.

Perfect place to "stop the world" The excitement builds as you drive along the curling dirt road to reveal the prettiest cottage, nestled high, surrounded by beautifully tended gardens and grass, wonderfully secure fencing (important for both a happy inquisitive British bulldog and us). Everything to make your stay EASY is there - in fact, it's very hard to leave. Oh, and to receive a cracker of an afternoon storm, then a clear incredible night sky with the milky way shining - bliss! Lovely, thoughtful people own this property, and lucky for us, they choose to share it. I said we'd be back, and we have already - can't wait for an opportunity to do it again.

"Loved the peace and tranquility" The cottage was perfect for our stay and the fenced yard was perfect for our pooches. Very user friendly hosts and property was exactly what we expected , extra kudos for the Tim Tams. We will be staying again. Thanks!

"Weekend break from Sydney" Spent a great couple of nights at the Mudbrick cottage. It's a tranquil spot just outside of Coonabarabran. Everything is thoughtfully put together and comfortable. I'll stay longer next time. Thanks, Anne and Allan.
