Byron Hinterland Villas formely Suzanne's Hideaway offers multiple accommodation options: 1, 2 and 3 bedroom Villas, a 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom Bails, and a Studio. All accommodation types have: self contained well appointed kitchens, air conditioning / heating, covered verandah, BBQ with outdoor dining, full laundry, and carport.  Each Villa  has a spa bath, and The Bails has an outdoor hot tub.

Byron Hinterland Villas is child and pet friendly.

Resort Facilities:

There is plenty to do at Byron Hinterland Villas. Play tennis day or night on the synthetic grass tennis court, exercise in the gym or relax by the 13 meter salt-water swimming pool. Walk to the rainforest lined river and swim or fish. Stroll around the fields of grazing cattle. Amble through the macadamia orchard. Many just sit and take in the spectacular sub-tropical setting and expansive country vistas. The resort can even arrange for you to have a massage by the pool, in the garden or in your accommodation. A 7 x 9 mtr pavilion with adjacent large lawn area by the pool, is ideal for a stunningly romantic garden wedding, yoga workshop, small group gathering / networking or any other group activity.

Byron Hinterland Villas is an easy 3km walk to Clunes village with licensed general store and cafe, and is centrally located with a 25 minute drive to Byron Bay, Ballina or Nimbin, a 20 minute drive to Lismore, or a 15 minute drive to Bangalow. Byron Bay offers bay beaches, whale and dolphin watching, learn-to-surf lessons, hang gliding, sky diving, secluded rainforest accessed beaches, shopping, night-life and a multitude of dining. The Byron Bay and Bangalow Hinterland offers innumerable things-to do-and sights to see including: quaint rural villages with art galleries, antique shops, cafes and restaurants, visit the hippy village of Nimbin, World Heritage Listed rainforest walking trails and waterfalls, horse-riding tours, hot air ballooning, ultralight flights, helicopter flights, and weekend markets at Byron Bay, Bangalow, Nimbin, Lismore, Lennox Heads, Brunswick Heads, Mullumbimby, Dunoon, Eltham  and The Channon with local arts & crafts, plants, fruit & veges, clothing and a huge selection of tasty foods.

If coming from Gold Coast
Exit freeway at Bangalow (next major exit after Byron Bay).
At Bangalow, turn right at roundabout to Lismore. Drive 15 minutes to Clunes village.
As you enter Clunes village, turn right in to James Gibson Rd. Large green tourist sign also reads Rosebank.
Drive 1 km. Take right turn in to Mackie Rd. Large green sign reads Rosebank and Rocky Creek Dam.
Drive 800 mtr. Take left turn in to Elliot Rd. SUZANNE'S HIDEAWAY entrance is 200 mtr / 3rd drive on right hand side.
Drive up to office.

If coming from Sydney
At Grafton take Summerland Way to Lismore via Casino (this road is much quicker and shorter than pacific hwy!).
At Lismore take road to Bangalow / Brisbane. Clunes is 15 mins from Lismore.
At Clunes village, drive past petrol station & general store. Just past butcher shop (1 km from general store), turn left into James Gibson Rd. Large green tourist sign also reads Rosebank.
Drive 1 km. Take right turn in to Mackie Rd. Again large green sign reads Rosebank and Rocky Creek Dam.

        Guest authorizes the Manager to reserve funds by pre-authorizing the credit card nominated on this booking form with the cost or expense of making good or replacing damage to the apartment or common areas or the contents of the apartment or common areas caused by anyone in my party or guests, and including breakages, missing items and lost keys; the cost of extra cleaning: cost of commercial cleaning if anyone smokes inside; unpaid accommodation charges including cancellation fees.  Check-out is 10 am.  If you choose to stay beyond 10 am, an extension fee of 50% of 1 nights tariff will apply.

   In consideration of other guests we ask that all noise emanating from your accommodation cease by 11 pm, and all visitors not part of your booking leave by that time.

  • On arrival you will be required to sign a guest registration form & provide a credit card pre authorisation as security for a $100 bond / Villa.

A beautiful place. Good quality accommodation: perhaps slightly cramped in a one-bedroom with three. Excellent facilities.
