Booking conditions
- 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking. We accept Visa & MasterCard. Personal cheques are only accepted if received 30 days before your arrival date.
- For bookings made within 21 days of arrival, we require full payment by credit card
- Balance of payment for accommodation is required 21 prior to arrival date. No refunds.
- Minimum stay applies over Long Weekends, Public Holidays and School Holidays.
- Extra people and day visitor charges apply. $10 per person per day.
- The management endeavours to hold the site or accommodations booked, however, reserve the right to transfer a booking should the occasion arise.
- The management reserve the right to change tariffs for accommodation at any stage of the reservation.
- Pets are welcome and are $8 per day or $40 per week
Bond is payable on check-in for all bookings and they are as follows:
- Cabins & Bungalows $200 each
- Lodge & Duplexes $500 each.
- Certain groups are required to pay a higher bond amount.
Bond by Pre-authorisation on a credit card only. Cash Bonds no longer accepted.
Cancellation policies:
he Retreat has cancellation policies for various booking types. Please see below which policy would apply to your bookings:
Individual Cabin, Bungalow Bookings
Refunds on deposits less a $50 cancellation fee are only possible if:
A) If cancellations are made in writing or email more than 10 weeks prior to arrival date
B) If property can be rebooked for the full period for the full Tariff.
C) Cancellation less than 21 days prior to arrival nil refund on deposit.
Group buildings and Multiple building Bookings
Once a booking is confirmed with a deposit the cancellation refunds on deposits less a $100 cancellation fee per group building and $50 cancellation fee per Cabin and Bungalow are only possible if:
A) If property can be rebooked for the full period for the full Tariff.
B) Cancellation less than 21 days prior to arrival nil refund on deposit.
Cancellations during HIGH PEAK TIMES – Christmas, New Years, Summer school Holidays and Long Weekends
For all bookings which fall in these Tariff periods and specified above full payment is required to confirm. There are no cancellations or refunds for any bookings over these periods.
TERMS AND CONIDTIONS
All guests are granted a limited permission to occupy accommodation at The Retreat for holiday purposes and acknowledge that this limited permission to occupy is not a residential tenancy agreement under the residential tenancy legislation.
By making a booking for accommodation at The Retreat, guests warrant that they have read these Terms and Conditions and the accompanying Rules and agree to be bound by them and all other Terms and Conditions and Rules notified to them from time to time.
The Retreat, its employees, and agents shall not be liable for, the guest release each of them from, any claim arising from -
(a) any damage to, or loss of, property or injury or death of persons occasioned directly or indirectly by an act or omission of any other person howsoever causes; or
(b) Any loss or damage due to delay, cancellation or disruption howsoever caused, including but not limited to loss or damage caused by laws, regulations, acts or failures to act,demands, orders, interposition of any government or agent thereof, acts of God, strikes, fire, flood, inclement weather, war, rebellion, terrorism, insurrection, sickness, quarantine, epidemics, theft, or any other cause in the nature of a force majeure.
Subject to clause above, if there is a force majeure event which affects the Guests booked accommodation at The Retreat will notify the Guests of its projected consequence and an estimate of the length of time over which it will prevail and may at its option offer the guest either:
(a) Alternative accommodation which is as good as or superior to that which has been booked;
or
(b) A refund or credit with The Retreat which may be used within 12 month period from the date of issue.
Booking and payment terms
If a guest is unable to provide credit card details at the time of booking, payment for the full cost of the accommodation is required within 24 hours of booking confirmation. Otherwise payment for the full cost of the accommodation is required at least 21 days prior to check-in.
(Please note that payment for the full cost of accommodation is required in order to confirm a booking during the Christmas school holiday period, the Easter weekend and public holiday long weekends.)
The Retreat may, at its option, cancel any booking for which a payment has not been received by the due date and charge a cancellation fee. Any cancellation of a booking by a guest must be received by The Retreat in writing and will also incur a cancellation fee. Please refer to Cancellation Policy.
Cancellations:
The Retreat has cancellation policies for all booking types. Please refer to the policy which your booking falls into. Guests and Visitors must
*Comply with all the Terms and Conditions, Rules and all instructions from Manager, caretakers and security services during their stay.
*Respect the residential amenity and security of the property and neighbouring guests and refrain from anti-social behaviour
*Guests must control and be responsible for any visitors that they bring onto the property. Visitors must be reported to the office.
*Comply with any instructions from the Manager and security services during their stay and notify the Office or Manager of any disputes or complaints as soon as is practicable.
Noise and parties
*Guests must not create noise which is offensive to neighbours especially between 10pm – 8am and during arrival & departure or at any time throughout the occupancy.
*While we encourage you to enjoy your stay at The Retreat, we remind you that the Retreat is not "party house" and anti-social or offensive behaviour, drunkenness and excessive noise are strictly prohibited;
and
* Any gathering, celebration or entertainment permitted at The Retreat must not disturb other Guests or neighbours with the residential amenity of The Retreat.
Accommodation, deck and balcony areas-
Guests must:
(a) Keep the deck and /or balcony area attached to their accommodation clean and tidy at all times;
(b) Keep noise to a minimum after 10pm so as not to disturb other guests or neighbours; and
(c) Close all windows and doors to their accommodation when absent from The Retreat so as to maintain security and prevent the possibility of rain and water damage.
Common areas
The swimming pool area, games room, BBQ areas and camp fire areas are for the use of all guests.
Guests must;
(a) Keep all common areas, including the swimming pool area, BBQ area and camp fires clean and tidy at all times:
(b) Clean the BBQ and surrounding area after use;
(c) Keep noise to a minimum after 10pm so as not to disturb other guests or neighbours;
(d) Not use the swimming pool area, games room, BBQ area and camp fire area between the ours of 10pm and 8.00am so as to avoid any disturbance to other Guests or neighbours; and
(e) Ensure that no glassware is taken into the swimming pool area at any time.
Garbage and Recycling
Guests must:
(a) Dispose of garbage and recycling waste in accordance with the usual practice at The Retreat and utilise the allocated bins throughout the Retreat; and
(b) Not leave rubbish in public areas or common areas
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in any indoor area at The Retreat.
Consequences of non-compliance withthe Terms and Conditions and Rules
(a) The consequences of not complying with the Terms and Conditions and Rules can include enforcement action from the Owner, Manager, Security Service or the Police; and
(b) Enforcement action could result in terminatin of permission to occupy the Retreat, eviction, loss of rental paid, deductions from security deposits and extra charges.
Departure arrangements
Prior to departure from The Retreat Guests must :
(a) Settle their account and return all keys to the Managers office by 10am. If a guest requires an early morning checkout please settle the account the night before and leave the key box at the office prior to departure
(b) Clean the accommodation and wash, dry and put away all dishes and crockery. Inventory lists are provided in each pantry and it si the Guests responsibiliy to ensure that all items are accounted for otherwise missing items will be charged at the replacement value.
(c) Remove all garbage and recycling waste from the accommodation and place it in the allocated bins throughout the Retreat.
