About the property
Guests at Bridgewater can select from 2 delightful accommodation choices... a beautiful Studio Apartment off the main house or a detached 2 bedroom chalet... both built of local, natural rammed earth and beautifully decorated and fitted. You're bound to find something just perfect for you! And although Bridgewater sits in splendid isolation, it's just a few minutes from Margaret River township, local wineries, the river mouth, beaches and the famous karri forests. It really is the perfect base for exploring and discovering this magnificent region!
On the property itself, the gazebo, which overlooks the private lake, boasts a gas BBQ and wood-fired oven, adjoining a huge deck where you can eat your meals, relax, or just take in the tranquil surroundings. In the early evening, you'll be fascinated as you listen to kookaburras and cockatoos jostling for sleeping space, or watch as kangaroos and deer graze at dusk before quietly slipping away for the night.
The wisteria-covered verandah is a perfect vantage point for the adjacent vineyard, gazebo, lake and river valley beyond. On quiet nights you can even hear waves crashing on distant beaches!
Guests are encouraged to roam the property or enjoy the many walking trails that wind through natural bushland, alongside the river and down to the magnificent beaches of Prevelly and Gnarabup.
Whatever your passion - wine and food-tasting, swimming, surfing, shopping, walking, exploring or just relaxing - it's all within easy reach from Bridgewater.
