Abbeys Three-Bedroom Cottage
Exclusive use of the private cottage in the gardens of Sandy Lake Farm at Muckenburra West of Gingin. Fully furnished, towels and linen, cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils, gas stove, fridge/freezer, microwave, bbq, washing machine, iron & board, external clothes line, ducted cool air conditioning, wood fire, patio front and rear, outdoor table and chairs. No meals provided.
Note nearest country supermarket and liquor store is 22kms from the farm please shop on the way as Gingin shops close at 6pm midweek 1-2pm on weekends.
All accommodation is nestled in the farm gardens among shady trees, large lawned areas, rose beds, vegetable garden and a variety of ornamental trees. Our 166 acre farm runs Galloway Cattle and Dorper sheep in the farming locality of Muckenburra, 22kms West of Gingin. A leisurely 1 hour north of Perth. Sunsets are glorious so bring your camera and binoculars to watch the birds on our lake. Farm animals will amuse you at feeding time, collect the eggs from the chooks. Table tennis for all and swing set for small children.

Things To Do
Best place to stay when visiting the Gravity Discovery centre Observatory, Yanchep National Park, Guilderton or the Moore River or 1 hour to the Pinnacles.
Gingin Region is renowned for large tracts of olive orchards and citrus fruit, blueberries and early peaches and nectarines, Mangoes and Avocados.On the farm fly your kite, take some photos, bring your remote control car or boat for the lake area, byo wine etc for a drink on the patio.
Take some quiet time to read one of our books or byo. perhaps watch a long awaited DVD, est relax enjoy the sunsets and starry night skies. Nearby visits are to wineries, honey farm, advocado shop (in season) Devonshire tea spots, Alpaca cothing at the nearby train station and Cafe. Visit a recommended cafe or honey place or mini golf within a short drive. Visit the Gravity Discovery Centre, Book before you arrive for the Observatory star gazing nights. Take a swim, paddle boat, canoe or dinghy hire at Moore River or bring your own kayak and take a trip around our now full lake, Drive to Lancelin for windsurfing or sandboarding down the dunes one hour aprox. Take a self drive tour to New Norcia aprox one hour north east and visit the monastery and art gallery and have some lunch at the hotel. On the way home stop at Granville park in Gingin and see the water wheel working, visit the memorial trail through the paper barks, lots to do or little to do its your chance to rest and revive in our quiet location. Other places of interest are Yanchep National Park 37kms south west or Pinnacles at Nambung National Park 1.5 hours drive north.
