Cobblers Cottage is a spacious holiday home set within Fremantles Heritage District. Renovated in 2013 this charming 19th century cottage is a brilliant holiday escape equally suited for a family break as well as a perfect retreat for your business stay.

A stones throw from pubs, wine bars, shops and art galleries and the beach, there is plenty to explore. Forget your car while staying at Cobblers Cottage. Fremantles best assets, its historic character and its unique Aussie culture is best explored on foot. However, if walking is not your cup of tea a free CAT bus service takes you to all places of interest.

Otherwise, you can simply hole up in the comfortable living room or enjoy a glass of wine and a few locally foraged delights on the patio. The private courtyard at the back of the cottage provides a peaceful ambiance for outdoor relaxation

Cobblers Cottage consists of a spacious open plan sitting room fitted with a large Flat Screen TV and a Blue Ray DVD player. A fully equipped kitchen and a Weber BBQ should satisfy even the most discerning cook.

There are two cozy bedrooms: one with a king sized bed and a second bedroom with two king single beds. The bathroom is well appointed with a sparkling shower and a bathtub.

The Parking Situation:

Parking in front of our cottage and all along Hampton Road is free and unlimited.

 While we cannot promise a parking space directly in front of our cottage, there are always free parking spaces near to the cottage. In any case you can use one of the four "5 minute parking" bays that are no more than 20 meters away in front of a child care center.

These 4 parking bays can be used 22 hours a day except for the drop off time for the children between 9 30 h - 10 30 h and in the afternoon again between 2 30 - 3 30h.

  1.  House Rules for Guests and Visitors

House Rules are provided at the propety to ensure that Guests and Visitors know and comply with this specific Rules governing their permission to enter and occupy the propety.

General requirements

a) Guest and Visitors must comply with all House Rules and Instructions from the owner/manager during their stay, and

b) Guests must notify the owner/manager of any dispute or complaints from neighbours as soon as is practical.

Noise and Residential Amenity

a) Guests and Visitors must not create noise which is offensive to occupiers of neighbouring properties, especially between 10 pm/8 am and during arrival and departure at any time thoughout the occupancy;

b) offensiv noise is prohibited and may result in termination of permission to occupy the property, eviction, loss of rental paid and extra charges for security and other expenses which may be deducted from bond under the terms and conditions;

c) Guests and visitors must not engage in anti-social behaviour and must minimise their impact upon the resindential amenity of neighbours and local community.


a) Guests are responsible for ensuring the limits set on visitor numbers [maximum 5 visitors at any time] is complied with at all times: and

b) Guests are responsible for ensuring that vistors comply with these house rules.

Gatherings or functions

a) The property is NOT a ‘Party House’ and any such activities are stictly prohibited: and

b) any gathering, celebration or entertainment expressively permitted by the owner at a propety must not conflict with residential amenity and must comply with all the other requirements.


Street-side parking in front of the propety and all along Hampton Road is free and unlimited. First come - first serve.

Garbage and Recycling

a) Guests and Visitors are to dispose of garbage and recycling in accordance with the usual practice at the property as set out below [in the allocated bins, and excess rubbish must not be left in public or common areas; and

b) Garbage and recycling arrangements at the propety are as follows:

  rubbish bins in kitchen and bathrooms have to be emptied latest at departure into the outside garbage and recycling bins


Whenever you are absent from the propety close all windows and lock all doors to maintain security and prevent rain and water damage.

Smoking and candles

Smoking and the use of candles/ burning incense is not permitted indoors.

Smokers are requested to use the ashtray outdoors.


Pets are strictly not permitted on the propety [indoors and outdoors]


The use of the BBQ provided is outdoors only. The gas bottle is disconnected and stored separately in the outdoor laundry.

The BBQ has to be cleaned latest before departure.

BBQ and gas bottle has to be replaced as found initially. Any violation of this rules may result in deduction of this bond.


Please respect the environment and switch of the air-conditioners when you leave our cottage.

Please switch off all air-conditioners on departure.

Damages and Breakages

Damages and Breakages must be reported as soon as practical to the owner

On departure arrangements

a) It is of utmost importance to deposit the house keys in the Key Lock Box on departure.

b) Loss of keys results in the total loss of Bond to cover the replacement of locks and keys

  1.  Standard Terms and Conditions of Temporary Holiday Accommodation

Note: Variances can be agreed on but only by arrangement with the owner in writing.

Deposit of 25% non refundable is required to secure the booking. Payment of the rental deposit constitutes the clients acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Balance of the rental amount must be received in full 7 days prior to occupancy. If not the owner has the right to cancel the booking and attempt to re let it.

Cancellation if caused by the client, money paid is not refundable unless the house is re-let for the entire period. If a refund is made due to the property being re-let then a $50 cancellation fee will apply.

The owners will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.

To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.

Number of Guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email.  Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance.

Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in loss of your bond and/or additional payments.

Damage, Breakages, Theft and Loss are the tenants responsibility during their stay.

Departure - the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. Check-out time is 10 00 am by the latest, to allow time to prepare property for next guests.

Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and loss of bond.

Pets are not allowed unless specific arrangements have been made in writing with the owner.

Loss - the owners take no responsibility for the tenant's personal property.

Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements with the owner in writing.


Refundable damage deposits Owner Terms and Conditions

A A$300 bond has to be paid  seven days before the check-in date. It is only drawn upon if necessary for excess cleaning or for damage and/or losses incurred.

Number of Guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email. $25 per person per night will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance and the cost will be deducted from the bond.

The cottage has to be left in a similar condition as you found it on your arrival. Furniture has to be replaced where it was on your arrival.

Cleaning of Cobblers Cottage can normally be completed in 3 hours.

Excess of this will be charged at $50 per hour or part there of.

Gas Cooker and Oven has to be cleaned before departure. All pots and pans and all other kitchen utensils have to be returned clean to the kitchen cupboards. Rubbish bins in kitchen and bathroom have to be emptied into the outside rubbish bins.

The fridge has to be emptied and left-over food discarded as you see fit. Necessary excess cleaning will be be charged at extra cost.

Our Weber BBQ can only be used outside. The grill has to be cleaned [soak in the tub in the outside laundry and and brush with dishwasher soap) and returned inside before departure. The gas bottle has to be detached, properly closed and stored in the laundry.

If the gas bottle is empty as a result of not closing the bottle, the gas bottle will have to be recharged at your expense. The cost of a refill will be deducted from your bond.

Loss of house keys incurs the total loss of the bond. For the safety of our guests we would have to replace all door and window locks. We advise to use the key lock box when you are leaving the cottage for an outing.

Bedding should be stripped before your departure and placed into the bathtub together with used towels

We like to keep our towels and linen pure white. Please do NOT wash them. If you wash and dye them by mixing them with your own laundry the towels and linen will have to be replaced at the value of the items.

Put only clean and washed clothes and towels in the dryer. Please do not use the dryer for wet sandy beach towels.

Pets are strictly prohibited as well as indoors and outdoors. Bringing in pets will result in the total loss of the bond.

Damage to our holiday home in the form of breakage, damage to walls, doors, windows or furniture will be charged at the full rate of cost of repair.

We encourage you to complete an inspection of our property upon arrival so that you can report anything broken/damaged on check-in. If you discover any damage please inform us via e-mail immediately.
