Limetree Hideaway offers contemporary, luxurious, romantic, self-contained vineyard accommodation for a couple.

Serene and select seclusion, the Hideaway slumbers under shady trees with a peaceful orchard vista overlooking vineyards through the huge picture windows. It is reached via a meandering country lane and up a long sealed driveway to where it nestles in the centre of the 25 acre Dunn's Creek Estate.

You will feel miles away from your usual fast-paced life. Perfect peace, total tranquillity. Ringing phones become bird chirps and mobile phones take a break, only working outside the Hideaway but Wi-Fi internet available. 

Rushing to work through busy city streets becomes a meander through rows of vines and fruit trees and a rambling wetland walk, and the only engagement you have is to enjoy a truly unique experience 

On arrival you will find a bowl of fresh fruit and ingredients for a generous continental breakfast for each day of your stay. You can choose to do nothing but relax in the double spa bath, then sit back and watch your favourite DVD on either of the two flat screens (either recumbent in the queen bed or curled on the couch in front of the gas log fire). Alternatively be as active or adventurous as you want with the varied activities nearby. 

At the end of the day either cook your own gourmet meal in Limetree Hideaway's fully equipped kitchen (including dishwasher) or out on the barbecue and enjoy the tranquillity of the farm.

Our philosophy is to endeavour to leave a minimal impact on our environment hence we use LED lighting throughout, Sukin organic sustainable toiletries, recycling of all end products, composting of all food scraps (or giving them to the hens to recycle as eggs) plus water conservation practices. It is for this reason that we have constructed Limetree to have high ceilings and heavy insulation in both roof and walls thus avoiding the need for air conditioning – hence each room has a ceiling fan for comfort but not out of necessity.

Cancellation Policy

  • If it is a month or more prior to arrival there will be a 50% refund of the deposit if the accommodation can be re-booked, otherwise the deposit will be forfeited.
  • Within two weeks the full amount is forfeited unless the nights can be rebooked in which case 50% of the money will be refunded.
  • We do stress that it is in your interest to take out insurance for bookings to cover this eventuality

From Melbourne take Citylink toll way - Monash Freeway - ‘Eastlink’ toll way to ‘Frankston’. Take the left slipway onto the M11 signposted “Portsea”. It becomes Mornington Peninsula freeway, you pass two signs warning of the imminent exit to ‘Red Hill’ and ‘Flinders’. Take the C787 when you see the sign to ‘Red Hill’ and ‘Flinders’. This brings you to Moat’s Corner, a large roundabout, turn left onto Whitehill Road, McIlroy’s Road is on the left about half way up the hill on a curve.

Our property features vistas of rolling hills, water gardens, ornamental lake and paddocks of alpacas, sheep and goats just waiting to be hand fed, while hens and ducks lay their eggs for our enjoyment.
