Needing a retreat from the busy day to day grind, spent 2 nights in a 2br cabin, fed the beautiful king parrots by hand, took the bush walk which was very physical, the surrounding bush is beautiful. The owner was very friendly and helpful, we were able to watch videos at no extra charge. The cabin was quite sufficient with everything that was needed for comfort, we had a good time and enjoyed our stay.5/5 by ,

Having recently stayed in Hidden Valley Cabins for three nights, I am only too happy to recommend this accommodation to anyone seeking the perfect secluded weekend getaway. The owners Phil and Christine were extremely welcoming, helpful and, following a comprehensive tour of the property, left my partner and I in privacy for the duration of our stay. The cabins were immaculate and we enjoyed stunning views of the adjacent valley and the wonderful wildlife therein. Lorne and the Great Ocean Road were only a short drive away but we found ourselves relaxing on the privacy of the cabin deck a lot of the time.It was one of the most restful, peaceful weekends we've had recently and the perfect antidote to the stresses of the city.Highly recommended.4/5 by ,

It was good value especially during the peak January/Australia Day period. The cabin had all the basic facilities for that price ($150 per day for 3 adults, minimum 2 days). There were a water-based cooler and a gas log heater, which was great. The digital TV was small and placed a bit high up above the sink area and the reception was not always good. This place is good base to explore Lorne but expect to drive 20 minutes down a 18km winding road to the beach. The king parrots were a nice distraction and the owner provided generous amount of seeds to feed them. Bring your own hair dryer, shampoo and conditioner, hand and face towels, as only a towel and soap were provided. The water used in the toilet was from a tank, had a yellow brown color and stank. One way to reduce its unpleasant odor was to close the toilet lid when not using the toilet and before flushing. A deodorant air spray was provided and proved to be very useful. There was a wood bbq outside the cabin and the owner will help you set it up. If you are on a budget, want to visit Lorne but are looking for quietness and seclusion amidst the nature, it's the place. If comfort is very high on your list, this cabin may not be up to your expectations.3/5 by , VIC
We loved the ambience of the place. The quiet bush setting with nothing but nature sounds, kookaburras and the many variety of beautiful Australian birds feeding out of our hands which we have caught on camera. It was a wonderful break from the rat race of the city.4/5 by ,
