Floor to ceiling windows and fantastic outdoor decks, with arguably the best uninterrupted views across the surf of Cathedral rock to Lorne, gives this property the wow factor. Hidden amongst one acre of the unspoilt natural beauty of Australian bush, and high above the Great Ocean Road, peace and serenity are words that come to mind. Only a 5 minute drive to the cafes, many stores and patrolled beaches of both Fairhaven and Lorne. 

With a fantastic beach look and feel, the house is equally suited to a couple on a romantic weekend or holiday as it is to friend or family groups (children can be accommodated). 

As you enter, your attention will be drawn to the spectacular view before being taken aback by the generous size and modern comfortable furnishings of the family room, meals area and kitchen. 

In winter, light the fire, relax on the snuggle chairs with a glass of wine and that someone special and enjoy the ocean view. Perhaps, take in the spectacle of a lightning lit sky on a stormy night. In summer, open the double concertina doors and let the summer breeze flow through. 

A fully equipped kitchen and laundry means that there is no need to leave the house. The master bedroom has a queensize bed and an ensuite with spa bath, separate shower and walk through robe. Upstairs, there is a second bathroom, and two bedrooms each with a queensize bed

2.Pass through the Devil’s Elbow cutting

3.Turn right into Herschell Rd and travel for 100m.

4.Turn right again into Mair Rd (dirt track)

5.Travel 1 km along Mair Rd to “1180GOR” sign 126 Mair Rd.

6.Go through gated fence and follow track down to the right.

7.Stop at “1180GOR” sign flat parking area. House is on left

What a wonderful house! We had a fantastic one week stay with our two daughters, both under 1 year old. The view was stunning, really no need to leave the house, as it had everything. We brought groceries with us and were content for the week, saved us having to drive into Lorne. But Lorne was under 10min away and great for a swim and supermarket / restaurants. WOW! The minute we opened the door and saw those views, we changed our plans to spend dinner and breakfast at home and make the most of our time here. You will love sitting inside on the super comfortable day beds watching the sun set... or in summer out on the deck, enjoying the sun. Breathtaking! Jennie provided us with coffee capsules, kindling for the fire and board games (had lots of fun playing 20 Questions). There is a cosy fireplace and plenty of heating throughout the house (including electric blankets). The master room downstairs has a beautiful spa with tall windows, providing views to Lorne. The kitchen is large and well equipped. Great phone reception, not that you want to waste time on your phones. Something important to note though, is an SUV or 4WD is a must, the roads to get you here are steep. Thanks for sharing your home with us Jenni. We hope to return one day.5/5 by , Balmoral
