How to Find Us: Summit Ridge Lodge is located on Schuss St which is the highest road in Falls Creek Village. If you are driving and the village is open to traffic you will turn right off Bogong High Plains Rd (coming from Mt Beauty) onto Falls Creek Rd. Take the second road hard left into Slalom St (Winterhaven corner), stay on this road until it forks and take the road going uphill to the right. This is only a short road that goes up to Koki Lodge and turns hard right up hill into Schuss St. Continue on this road up the hill past Frueauf Village and we are the next lodge on the right.
In winter you will be allowed half an hour to unload the car before returning to the entrance and then you will be directed to park your car in the long term carpark and a free shuttle will bring you back to the lodge. If the village roads are closed due to snow then you will unload the car at the Accommodation Transfer Service Terminal, park your car where directed and a free shuttle will bring you back to the Terminal, and then just catch the next Accommodation Transfer Service up to the lodge. This costs $20 per adult one way and $13 per child one way (kids under 5 are free). Please remember to book the return ATS trip at least 24 hours prior to leaving.
Resort Entry : In winter there is a resort entry fee payable at Howmans Gap (about 8 kms from Fall’s Creek) and costs between $40 and $50 per night per vehicle depending on length of stay. If staying for more than 7 days it may be more economical to purchase a season’s entry pass. Passes can be bought online at http://www.fallscreek.com.au/ResortEntry
Bus Services: If you want to avoid the drive/snow chain hassle and car parking charges there are 2 bus services that pick up from Melbourne City and Airport and drop off at the Falls Creek Accommodation Transfer Service Terminal (as above), with fares starting from $54 one way advance purchase. For more details visit www.fallsbus.com.au or www.fallscreekcoachservices.com.au .These services also offer a fare from Mt Beauty where you can park your car in Mt Beauty and catch the bus up from $49 return --- and also a fare from Albury airport from $95 return per adult.
Chains: It is a legal requirement to carry wheel chains in cars on the road up to Falls Creek during the declared snow season (from 6 June to 27 September) and these can be hired at several locations in Mt Beauty. You will be directed to chain fitting bays if chains are required to be fitted and please obey signs and directions on when to fit them ---they are for your own and other cars safety.
Lift tickets and Ski Hire: We can organise lift tickets and packages for you but lift tickets only are cheaper bought on line through www.skifalls.com.au . There is a ski hire shop just across the road from the lodgewhich we highly recommend) www.centralsnowsports.com.au and they have all the latest gear at competitive prices. They also pick up the gear from the lodge at the end of your stay.
Wi- Fi: We have free Wi-Fi in the lodge and when you attempt to use the internet you will be asked for a room no. and password which will be in the room. Each room can use up to 4 devices with a total of 200MB per day. We have only put these restrictions in to prevent downloading of movies or games that slow the whole process for everyone ---if you need more capacity please let us know and we can arrange that.
DVD’s: Each room has a DVD player and we have a large selection of DVD’s in our library in the upstairs lounge (as well as books, games and a Wii and Play Station3 game console). Please help yourself to DVD’s and books and put them back when you are finished.
Restaurant:During peak and shoulder periods in July, August and early September the tariff includes cooked and continental breakfasts, and 2 course dinners (an entrée or dessert and a main course) for guests staying in Mezzanine and Queen Suites. The restaurant is fully licensed (no BYO) and a full range of bar drinks and wines is available and any extra meal courses and drinks will be charged to your room account and payable on check out. You are allowed to bring your own alcohol/drinks to the lodge for consumption in your room.
Spa and Sauna: There is a spa and sauna located on the lower floor opposite Room 13 and both are available for use from 3pm to 8 pm ---with extra towels provided. Please put them in the steel trolley after use. The spa can seat 4 adults comfortably and is on a first come first use basis.
Ski Room and Drying Room:These are located on the lower floor opposite the stairs and there are 2 rooms --- the drying room is heated and for outer clothing and boots. Please don’t put skis or boards in this room ---there are racks for skis and boards in the ski room next door. The ski room opens to the outside and this entrance should be used when entering or leaving the lodge in snow gear --- the code for the door is located in your room.
