Great space!

This colourful cool Cape Woolamai beach house set in a private garden is between a surf beach to the left and swimming beach to the right. Retro 60's feel, original artwork and furniture with real beds! Ideal for couples or a small family.

We have really taken care to make this little house an experience with original artwork, Elvis Posters, incredible kitchen amenities, cool retro furniture and above all great beds that you simply sink into at the end of the day. A King and a Queen - all linen supplied.

I have 2 soft learner surfboards to paddle around on if you like. 2 night minimum stay on week ends.

You have access to the entire house and gardens. If you have a motor bike and need to put it in the garage, just ask otherwise that is locked.

We will interact through email and phone if you like. I have a key box with a code to collect and leave the keys. Box in on the last left post on the veranda as you are looking at the house.

The Neighbourhood

If you love the beach, then this is the place. We are on a peninsular with a world famous surf beach on one side and a great safety beach on the other. Just up the road are great new eateries for you foodies. Tree lined streets, one block from the State Nature Reserve. Penguin parade, Koala  not far away.

Hello… Welcome to Clambake!

When you leave just, please dont strip the beds, just  leave all the linen on the beds, we'll take care of it!

Here are some tips & info to help make your stay fabulous!

Setting up - The outdoor armchairs and daybed have cushions and a mattress & cushions in the second bedroom.

Two hammocks are in the yellow tub at the front door, they hang on the posts on the front patio, to the right and left of the entrance. (It is lovely lying out there watching the birds)

The little round table is perfect for the front porch.

There is an umbrella for the outdoor dining table in the back shed near the clothesline.

The orange cushions at the back door belong to the outdoor dining table.

Cushions for the outside furniture is stored inside, please return them inside at the end of your stay - if it looks like rain best to bring them inside:)

We have a large kooky record collection, feel free to listen - please return records after use and switch off the amp.

Rubbish collection is on Mondays - please put out the bins at the end of your stay on the footpath right up against the road, otherwise the Garbos won't collect it!

You welcome to use the fire place, some wood is out the back.

Air conditioner remote is on the wall on the left as you enter the front door.

Kitchen -  We have a little herb garden out the back to the right, near the clothesline, please feel free to add to your cooking

There are many spices in the cupboard above the stove for cooking.

The kitchen has lots of knick-knacks for all sorts of cooking, cake making, pasta making, and also has waffle maker, a toasted sandwich maker, a blender, a handheld whizzer, and a lettuce spinner.

There is also plastic cups and plates for picnics.

Out doors -  Out in the back shed there are two soft beginner surfboards if you are keen to surf. (Smiths beach; near the grand prix track; usually has nice beginner waves)

We use Gas bottles, no other way on the island, if you run out of gas or there is no hot water, please just go outside and and turn the nob on the gas bottle and this will switch it over to the full one.

Please clean the BBQ when you leave - spare Gas bottles in the wood area. The BBQ igniter is on the left side, silver button.

The washing machine is easy to use, but you will need to turn on the water.  (Please turn off the taps before you leave as sometimes it decides to leak for a reason unknown.)

Bins go out on Sunday night. The recycling bin is picked up every week.

They need to sit at the gutter or they won’t empty them ☹.

Local Beaches -

Safe bay beach - Turn right after walking out of he front gate and follow the road toward the bush. There is a track that will take you down to the beach on the left at the end of the street.

”Anzac’s” Ocean beach – No Life Saving available. Turn right after walking out of the front gate, turn left and then right to get back onto Woolamai Beach Rd, turn left and walk up the hill, the beach is right there!

“Cape Woolamai” Ocean beach – Life Saving available during summer holidays. Best to drive. Get back onto Woolamai Beach Rd, turn left and drive to the very end of the road.

“Colanades” Ocean beach – No Life Saving available. It is a beautiful beach with lots of rocks to explore when the tide is out. There is a huge rock pool when tide is out. Walk towards the right and keep going to the very end of the beach, walk across the rocks and you can jump right in! Turn right onto Woolamai Beach Rd, turn left at Tampa Rd and go right to the end.

Awesome house - very well setup - great location & very quick responses to any questions. Highly recommend staying there.5/5 by , Melbourne
Our family of three were very comfortable for a week at Clambake! We loved the retro vibe and enjoyed the privacy of the deck looking over the garden. If you are lucky you might see a bunny in the yard! A two minute walk gets you to a great safe bay beach for swimming. The king size bed is very comfy. A little too comfy as it’s very tempting to not get out of it at all! The kitchen is very well equipped with all you need for cooking. We highly recommend Clambake!5/5 by , Northcote
The place was great exactly as described. Perfect location for the MotoGP!5/5 by , Moorebank
We loved staying at this unique and cosy property, which is bursting with character and psychedelic charm. When we arrived, the home and gardens appeared exactly as it did in the photos. Plus, it's just a hop, skip and a jump to the best fish and chips in Cape Woolomi and a family friendly beach - making it so convenient with young kids. The property is decked out with everything you need, so you don't have to step foot outside this wonderfully private oasis if you don't feel like it. We only wish we could have stayed longer!5/5 by , Watsonia
