"Riverside" was designed and built in 2004.It sits in the most stunningly beautiful location on the banks of the Huon River at Glaziers Bay,a quiet rural area just ten minutes from Cygnet township.

The cottage has its own separate entrance ,is in a soft bush setting and is so private,in fact can only be seen from the river.

Located on the Huon Trail, "Riverside"is perfectly placed for experiencing the many attractions of the Huon Valley.

The cottage is ideal for couples holidaying together. There are two queen size bedrooms with en-suites,separated by the spacious dining and living area. There is also a twin bedroom.Every room, including the full size kitchen has amazing views across the river to the Hartz Mountains and beyond in the far South-West.The kitchen is well stocked with a variety of fresh local produce enabling you to prepare a good hearty breakfast.

Fishing is excellent and the B.B.Q and large out door dining area is magic

Beautiful surroundings - stunning views and fantastic accommodation. Gorgeous hosts who were only too happy to help and provide advice on what to do in the local area. Highly recommended.5/5 by ,
We had a wonderful time at Riverside, the cottage was beautiful with lot's of things to make you feel at home. The location is perfect and the surrounding area is also gorgeous. The hosts were very welcoming and had a fire started for when we arrived as it was a chilly day... lovely touches that really make the difference. HIGHLY recommend this accommodation, it is perfect!!! Really enjoyed the original artworks too!!5/5 by ,
What a trully wonderful experience to stay at this beautiful home in the houn valley, breathtaking is how i would describe the views and surroundings, with only the sounds of wildlife to interrupt the peace and tranquility you will enjoy at this little bit of heaven on earth. Thanks to Catherine and Stephen for sharing their home with us and leaving us with one of lifes treasured memories.5/5 by ,
Such a warm, homely and well appointed cottage in a beautiful location. So relaxing - we came for 3 days, stayed for 7 and definitely will return.Thank you Catherine and Steven for your welcome and warmth and for provding a wonderful environment to holiday.5/5 by ,
Riverview is truly a delightful place to stay. Nestling in a bushland setting on the banks of the Huon River gives the cottage the most amazing views over the river and hills beyond. The cottage itself is well laid out and equipped, and is kept immaculately. The artworks scattered throughout the cottage make it feel even more unique. Most of all, however, it's the little extras thoughtfully provided by the owners that really blew us away ... (local milk in bottles, eggs, bacon, apple juice and fruit - all sourced from the Huon Valley). We stayed for a week and used it as a base from which to explore the surrounding areas. Although places like the Tasman Peninsula and Mt. Field National Park are a couple of hours away (and Hobart 45 mins), it was so nice knowing what a great place you had to return to at the day's end. Finally, the owners, Catherine and Stephen, are an absolute delight. They gave us a very warm welcome and some good advice about places to eat and local swimming beaches, etc. This is clearly much more than a commercial enterprise for them and their warmth and hospitality showed across every aspect of Riverview.Any downsides? Yes - it made the next place we stayed seem very ordinary indeed (with its meagre supplies of a few tea bags, instant coffee and UHT milk). This is definitely the best place we've stayed in our two trips to Tasmania.5/5 by ,
This was an absolutely wonderful escape! The owners were so friendly and welcoming, you could tell that they really cared. The cottage was beautiful, with a truly 'homely' feel. Fresh flowers, home made jam, fresh fruit. The cottage had amazing views and a cosy fire it was a complete get away. Thank you.5/5 by ,
Riverside at Glaziers Bay turned out to be the best stay of our 2 week trip around Tassie. The beautiful views across Glaziers Bay would be enough to make us return the next time we're in Tassie. The modern cabin, friendly hosts, great food and not to mention the majestic Huon Valley and surrounds makes Riverside a must stay when in Tassie.Kepp up the great work Catherine and Stephen.regards,Marty and Rachel5/5 by ,
This incredible hidden gem was a great find and our experience of satisfaction and relaxation over three days / nights was a holiday occasion to remember in a very positive way. The scenery is excellent and the environment is perfect and the all encompassing home atmosphere was a bonanza. This holiday cottage is a winner in every possible way and we highly recommend that other travelers should experience the same enjoyment that we shared in.5/5 by ,
Breathtaking view and amazing catering.5/5 by ,
The accomodation was lovely: tasteful decor, clean, cosy and everything there that we could wish for.An extremely well-equipped kitchen.Loved the raspberry jam!The location is breathtaking: wonderful panoramic water views which can be enjoyed in all its moods.5/5 by , NSW
In a word - amazing! The house and view we just beautiful, and our hosts wonderful; friendly and helpful, and yet happy to leave us alone to enjoy the week in self-contained isolation. Despite the freakish winter-weather at the height of summer striking Tasmania at the beginning of our stay, the combination of the wood fire and kitchen facilities, supplemented with stock from local wineries and providores, saw us gourmet bliss. When summer returned later in the week we enjoyed lazy campaign breakfasts on the deck. Best of both worlds as far as we were concerned! We would highly recommend Riverside to all and sundry - and can't wait for to go back again!5/5 by , NSW
Fabulous! One of the best places we've ever stayed. The accommodation was first rate and the location was too.5/5 by , NSW
One of the best self contained accommodations that we have stayed in. It was excellently presented with everything thought of. BBQ on the veranda with a glass of red, overlooking the river -wondering what the poor people were doing today. Our 3 year old and 9 month old thought that the place was a great - plenty of playing space and most importantly very modern and safe.5/5 by , NSW
Riverside was certainly among the best accommodation I have ever stayed in in Tasmania and I've been visiting for many years. Gorgeous location, stylish interior, great paintings and welcoming hosts - what more can I say? Just hope it doesn't get so popular I can't get there again.5/5 by , TAS
Accommodation was the best we stayed at in Tasmania. Beautiful view, great deck, very clean, nicely furnished, comfortable, nice owners. Only downside - internal doors all needed oiling.[TakeABreak.com.au comment: we're assured the doors have now been oiled.]5/5 by , QLD
