Your own private jetty

Our 3 bedroom cottage is fully equipped for your comfort and tranquility. Set in a semi rural area, Riverside Cottage is nestled on the banks of Carlton River with your own jetty and beach. With an abundance of oysters & mussels your seafood platter is assured,and at the right time flathead are plentiful. The vineyards are just a short drive away as is Richmond, Port Arthur and Hobart Airport. 

Riverside is a cosy cottage with a woodfire, large beds and fully equipped kitchen. The gardens have large pine trees and secret nooks, for reading and sunning or just taking in the local sounds of the many birds. A visit to Tassie in November is a must if you love looking at flowers, as Tassie comes alive with flowers of all descriptions - a must to see. Forget Western Australia and their wild flowers, come on over to Tas and see for yourself. 
B-B-Q's overlooking the river at sunset are something to experience either with that special person or with the family, we think you will enjoy Riverside Cottage.

Parties and functions are strictly prohibited. The rental charged is for domestic use only and not commercial use. This rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning,garbage removal, wear and tear etc... Use contrary to this will result in termination of tenancy.

Camping whether be caravan, camper, motor home or tent is strictly prohibited on the property.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1) A deposit is required to secure the booking. Payment of the rental deposit constitutes the clients acceptance of these terms. 

 a) Balance of the rental amount must be paid 2 weeks prior to your arrival.
 
 b) Cancellation, if caused by the client, monies will be refunded except for a
 $50 cancellation fee: Up to 1 month prior to occupancy
 1 month prior to occupancy loss of monies 
 Unless property can be re let.
 
2) Number of guests should not exceed the number stated on the Booking Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing.
Fees will apply for extra guests not agreed to with the owner in advance.
 
3) Parties and functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for
 domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly, this rate does not allow for extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs, etc. Use contrary to this will result in additional charges and may result in termination of rental.
 
4) Damages, breakages, theft and loss are the tenant’s responsibility during stay.

5) Breakages must be reported to the owner at the earliest time and paid for.
 
6) Departure – the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. Check-out time is 10:00am by the latest, to allow time to prepare the property for the next guests.
 
7) Disturbance to our neighbours including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and additional charges.
 
8) Pets are not allowed unless specific arrangements have been made with the owner.

9) Loss - the owner takes no responsibility for the tenants personal property. Any property left on the premises can be regained by sending a self addressed mail bag to the owners property.
 
10) Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements in writing to the owner.

 

Directions & Keysafe codes will be emailed to you once we receive your deposit/balance payment.

"Mind blowing, everything expected plus more" This beautiful cottage right on the water was a wonderful place to stay. Our son loved the abundance of toys and laying on the jetty counting the star fish. Location to everything you need is amazing. But it is just far enough out of town to be so tranquil and peaceful. Kitchen and home very well equipped. On arrival a fire was set up awaiting us to light. The little things just made our trip. We will be back for sure. "Perfect family getaway! Seafood lovers delight!" Thank you so much Anne and Col for a perfect family week away in your Riverside cottage - we couldn't have asked for a better stay! The view from the house is magical, the little boat was fantastic for 3 of us fishing (caught flathead, gummy sharks, ghost sharks, tailor and salmon!). We loved putting on the wading pants and finding our own fresh oysters and muscles right off the pier! Thank you too for making your cottage so homely and warm, the abundance of firewood was much appreciated for a cosy fire and a glass of Tassie wine after fishing in the afternoon. We will most certainly be back for another visit - this time hopefully we will be able to meet the octopus under the jetty :) I would highly recommend Anne & Cols riverside cottage to couples and families with children of all ages!5/5 by ,
"Perfect!" A fantastic hideaway that has everything a family needs, and I mean everything! The home is a bit dated but everything was very clean and worked perfectly, no complaints about anything. I wish we had more time to just stay at the property and enjoy all the amenities available. We only got to use the kayaks and dinghy briefly one afternoon but great fun. Loved sitting around the fire playing games of an evening. My 16 and 17 year old sons said it was the best holiday place we have ever stayed at, high praise indeed. Had a pleasant weekend, and although didn't get to meet the owners personally, they came across as very friendly. The cottage itself was ideal for a family and the jetty and use of canoes & kayaks was lovely. However, we didn't find the outside of cottage endearing, and garden and surrounds could to with a makeover, right up to the b.b.q area. .3/5 by , Ulverstone Tasmania Hi Reina, Thank you for your review, it is important to us.
