Derwent Vista is a fully furnished self contained house with absolute waterfront to the Derwent river and great views of the Derwent, yachts at anchor and Mount Direction. It has a Queen, Double, 2 Single a double sofa bed and single fold bed. A portacot and high chair are available on request. The base rate is for 2 people with an extra person charge. There is no charge for internet, TV, DVD, fishing gear, bikes, canoes etc.

Description

Derwent Vista is a fully furnished 1980's self contained villa with absolute waterfront to the Derwent river and great views of the river, yachts at anchor, Mount Direction and Gunner's Quoin and is located at 10 Harbinger Lane Austins Ferry off Austins Ferry road.

Derwent Vista is an ideal base for business or pleasure as it is close to major businesses and tourist attractions and the Brooker highway which is the main route to Tasmania's west and north from Hobart. To get to the property you actually drive past the corner of historic James Austin Park where the first ferry in Tasmania and second oldest building in Tasmania are located.

Derwent Vista is rented short to medium term at competitive rates and is suitable for business people looking for somewhere to stay, a retreat or quiet place to work or holiday makers keen on sampling the many attractions that the Hobart region is famous for.

Directions

Find your way onto the old Main Road and follow it north or south as the case may be to Austins Ferry. Austins Ferry Road is opposite the stone gates to historic Roseneath Park between two groups of shops. Turn down Austins Ferry Road towards the yacht club. Go over a rail crossing. For Derwent Vista turn right into Harbinger Lane just after the parks on the right hand side of the road at the top of a small rise. Follow Harbinger Lane next to the old stone wall. Derwent Vista is no. 10 just before a big hedge further down the lane. Note that there is room for parking up to two or three cars at our properties.

Our Pet Policy

If you intend bringing a dog, cat or kangaroo or any other animal for that matter you must not let them loose under any circumstances. All of our properties have yards and there are three parks within 100 metres for exercise. Animals that are house trained and do not leave hair inside are allowed inside but not on beds or furniture.  You are responsible to clean up any hair or other nuisances left by them.

Cancellations and Changes

Cancellations must be requested by email with read receipt, by telephone or in person during business hours and are always at our discretion. In exercising our discretion we take into account the reason for the request and how close it is to the booking date. Any amount not refunded is always available for an alternative booking date if available for 12 months. Charges we have incurred are never refundable.
