The majority of Happyshack’s are bound solely by our standard Terms and Conditions as listed below. If a Happyshack has specific/different/additional Terms and Conditions, these will be advised at the time of a confirmed booking. Please note, these Terms and Conditions are not meant to offend – we are aware that 95% of all of our guests always do the right thing and we thank you for that in advance.
CONFIRMATION OF BOOKINGS -
We will reply to the electronic mail address you have supplied to confirm if the chosen shack is available for the dates you have requested and detail the total costs and dates of booking. We encourage you to review these details and make absolutely sure that everything is correct. Changes and cancellations can be costly.
NUMBER OF GUESTS -
The number of guests staying in each individual Happyshack is not to exceed the number booked. You agree that the Happyshack is booked only for the number of people actually stated on yourr original booking request. Any additional people will be charged for at the applicable nightly rate. You give Happyshack the authority to charge your credit card for any additional guests.
To secure a booking, the non refundable deposit and valid credit card details are required to confirm your booking. If the deposit is not received within 48 hours of the tentative booking, we reserve the right to accept another deposit without further notice. By paying a deposit you have read and agreed to our terms and conditions.
We reserve the right to hold an additional $1000 bond and request a reference to any booking prior to arrival. This will always be discussed with our guests prior to the acceptance of the booking.
The balance of payment is due14 days prior of arrival date and is non-refundable. If the balance is not received within 48 hrs of due date, your booking will be cancelled.
Bookings made less than 14days prior to arrival date will be paid in full upon booking.
All monies are held in a fully audited Trust Account.
A 2.5% merchant fee is charged for VISA and MASTERCARD credit card transactions. Please note these fees are subject to change without notice.
If you choose to direct deposit, we still require a valid credit card number as security.
Once your booking has been confirmed and your deposit paid your deposit is non-refundable. If the booking is cancelled in writing more than 30 days from the date of commencement of your arrival, you will be released from the liability for the full balance of hire. (Credit card merchant fees are non refundable.)
Bookings made less than 14 days prior to intended arrival date are paid for in full upon booking and are non refundable.
The Booking Agent recommends that you take out comprehensive holiday cancellation and protection insurance with a reputable insurance company to cater for any unforeseen circumstances which may arise including accident, ill health or any other matters beyond your reasonable control, as once the booking is confirmed and receipted, you will be responsible for payment of the full rental.
Changing to another Happyshack or changing the dates cannot be done within this period. We highly recommend travel insurance to cover this possibility.
Changes to Accommodation Booking - Please choose your Happyshack carefully as no refund or change of shack will be possible once your booking is confirmed. Outside of 30 days amendments will be charged a $50 fee.
All Happyshacks are available from 2:00pm on the day of arrival and are to be vacated by 10:00am on the day of departure. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate early overseas arrivals and late departures, the only way to absolutely ensure early check-in or late check-out is to book an extra day.
Port a cots and highchairs are available for rental at a cost of $50 per stay.
On the day of departure the premises must be left in a condition similar to how you found it. Please ensure that the washing up is done, dishes and utensils put away, floors are tidy, any marks on furnishings spot cleaned, benches, stove, fridge and BBQ wiped and the house is neat and tidy. You may incur an extra cleaning cost if these items are not attended to.
Keys and Lockouts
Loss of keys and remotes will be charged to you at the discretion of Happyshack Pty Ltd. A replacement charge of $50 for keys and $150 for remotes will be charged. If you lock yourself out of your Happyshack out of hours (9am to 5pm Monday to Friday) please call 0403 578 382 for assistance. After hours lock out assistance is charged directly to your credit card at $50 per call out.
Noise and Behaviour
All Happyshacks are residential properties and you are expected to treat them as such. Antisocial or unlawful behaviour, lewd conduct, excess noise and property damage whether actual or reported will be investigated by the property manager immediately. If this behaviour is not rectified immediately after one warning police assistance will be requested and you will face eviction without refund.
If, upon investigation, the property manager sites malicious damage of the property you will be evicted immediately without refund.
All personal belongings, baggage, vehicles and other property of yours of any description shall be at your risk at all times and neither the Booking Agent nor the owner accepts any responsibility for any loss or damage thereto.
Car Parking and Lawns
Please only park your cars and/or trailers, or other vehicles in specified areas allocated for that purpose. NO parking on lawns is permitted.
Lawns & Irrigation
Under no circumstances are the irrigation systems to be altered or turned off. If the irrigation is disturbing your stay please contact our office direct so that we can send someone to assist you. If you tamper with the irrigation all time and materials required to reset the system will be charged directly to your credit card.
Pets are NOT ALLOWED on the premises unless the property manager and property owners give prior approval. Pets reported and/or discovered on the property, and found to be under your control or associated people will render you liable for extra charges and put you at risk of immediate eviction and forfeiture of any unused tariff.
- If a pet has been permitted at the property they are strictly prohibited from any furnishings. Pets are not to be left unattended inside the house without obtaining prior permission. We understand some pets feel less anxious and more secure inside the house and bark less but this must be discussed with us prior.
- Continual barkers will not be tolerated. Please make sure your pet is excercised daily to alleviate boredom.
- On departure all pet hair must be removed from the property and droppings are to be removed from lawns and gardens and put in the garbage bin in sealed bags.
All Happyshacks are non smoking environments. You and your visitors are requested to smoke outside only and all butts and related material are to be disposed of correctly. A fee of $25 will apply if cleaning staff are required to pick up discarded cigarette butts and will be charged directly to your credit card
BREAKAGES AND DAMAGES -
We appreciate that the Happyshack will be returned to us in the condition presented on arrival. Breakages or damages not caused by normal wear and tear will be charged to your credit card if necessary. Please note that it is not our intention to charge for replacement or accidental broken glass or plates.
For reasons of safety we reserve the right to enter the property to repair any fault.
No responsibility is taken for personal items left on the premises during or after departure.
Happyshack Pty Ltd does not accept liability for any injury, damage, loss, additional expenses and disruptions caused directly or indirectly by events, which are beyond our control (including natural disasters).
We do not accept liability for error omissions, default or negligence represented on our website.
Happyshack Pty Ltd does not accept liability for changes made due to renovation, alteration and refurbishing of individual properties. We endeavour to keep our website updated at all times.
Happyshack Pty Ltd does not accept liability for the change to or cancellation of your booking due to either the cessation of management or sale of property. We will do our best to relocate you to a suitable property or assist you to continue your booking through the new agent.
