Located in an elevated area on Aroona Road with beautiful ocean views from the private front garden, this 2 bedroom coastal home is perfect for a weekend escape, beach holiday or for touring our wonderful McLaren Vale Wine Regions. It’s only a short 5 minute drive to Seacliff beach and Brighton Beach. 10 minutes to Glenelg beach and 30 minutes to the city of Adelaide. 

If you are looking for a base to explore the area, our home is ideal, we are situated just 30 minutes from our beautiful Adelaide city. This lovely home is located at Hallett Cove, gateway to the Fleurieu Peninsula, including Victor Harbor, McLaren Vale Wineries, Port Noarlunga and Aldinga Beach. Convenient location only moments away from the Brighton shopping strip with specialty boutique shops, cafes, restaurants & pubs and of course the lovely Brighton beach itself. Local cinema and the SA Aquatic Centre is situated approximately 10 minutes drive from the home at the Marion Westfield shopping complex.. A little further afield at Glenelg (15 minutes), The Beach House – a family entertainment complex, Holdfast Marina shops, cafes, restaurants, fishing charters, dolphin cruise tours. 

Be selective and stay at this lovely home and have the the space and comfort of a whole home, rather than the confinement of a single hotel room. This rate is inclusive of your bedlinen, bath & hand towel & bath mat. We also provide a welcome pack for the pantry, along with some ground coffee, tea and continental breakfast provisions. 

The home has two bedrooms, main with Queen bed and 2nd bedroom with 2 single beds, there is also a full size single foldaway bed and another sofa fold out bed. (sleeps up to 6). Infants are catered for with a portacot and highchair. The home is fully equipped with a galley kitchen and eat in dining area and there are two family areas with 2 TVs. The main lounge has a 42” LCD TV and DVD player. The home is serviced by a full bathroom with bathtub and separate shower. The toilet is in a separate room and there is a separate laundry with top loader washer and ironing facilities 

The metro bus service is within a very short walking distance and enables easy access to Adelaide CBD, Hallett Cove local shopping areas, Brighton (train station) , Westfield Marion shopping complex and Flinders Medical Centre/University. 

Outside, there is private secure front and back garden with outdoor setting, perfect for relaxing with a glass of something. 

Geological Significance:

The area of Hallett Cove itself has geological significance as it is one of Australia's most outstanding geological and archaeological sites. The Hallett Cove Conservation Park is nearby, where more than 1,700 Aboriginal artefacts have been found. There is a self directed/signed walking trail which describes the park's cultural and geological heritage, including evidence of an Australian ice age some 280 million years ago. The outstanding glacial pavements along the northern cliff tops are recognised as the best record of Permian glaciation in Australia and have international significance. There is a fabulous walking trail which extends from nearby Marino to Port Stanvac with seats along the way and views to die for.

Major Adelaide events are nearby, within 30 minute by car, train or bus ride, These include, the January Tour Down Under, the Annual Fringe Festival, Festival of Arts, Adelaide Cup, Clipsal 500, Womadelaide, Cabaret Festival in June 2013, Sala Art Festival in August 2013; OZAsia Festival in Sep- October 2013, Guitar Festival 2013 and Cricket December 2013.

CONVERTING YOUR ENQUIRY TO A BOOKING

·  Reply to owner advising quote is accepted and providing your full name, full contact address, phone number email.  Full names of all guests to be staying at the property and ages of children.  The owner will then provide you payment details to secure booking.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PAYMENT

·    Payment is accepted via credit card through Paypal.  Add 3.4% to total for credit card/paypal payments

·    For those who have an Australian Bank account then Bank Transfer is also accepted and this will save you additional fees.

  • Security bond is returned to your Australian Bank account or Paypal account.
  • Bookings are firm only when full payment has been received by due dates
  • A deposit of 50% of the accommodation is due and will secure the rental for you – if your travel is within 30 days of arrival then full amount is due.
  • The 50% deposit is calculated on your total accommodation rate.

BY PAYING YOUR DEPOSIT, YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

·    A refundable security bond is also charged (see below for costs) and is returned  in normal circumstances and after satisfactory inspection of property within 7 working days of departure –

  • up to 13 nights- $300-$400
  • 2-6 weeks - $600
  • Over 6 weeks - $800
  • 10 weeks and over is to be negotiated
  • Arrival time is 4pm and departure time is 10am. This is negotiable if someone is not departing or arriving on same day.
  • The maximum number of people permitted to stay is as per your booking enquiry.  (Rooms not booked are locked and unavailable for use.)
  • Complimentary use of portacot and baby highchair is available.  (Bring your own linen & pillow applies for infants using portacot)
  • No-smoking allowed indoors
  • Guests stay at our homes entirely at their own risk
  • Guests are asked to respect and protect the property and to ensure that neighbours are not disturbed by noise generally (and especially after 9.00pm)
  • In cases of excessive noise, eviction will occur and monies paid forfeited.
  • Car parking is provided for a small car under the car port or one of the available car parking bays.
  • In the rare instance that the Property becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances (eg. fire,storm, damage, etc) then we will inform you immediately. If available then one of other properties will be offered for your consideration. If this is not suitable then the limit of our liability is that any moneys we have received will be refunded in full.

Cancellation / Refunds

  • We do not accept cancellations or changes to dates once your deposit is made.  Monies paid are non refundable. 
  • The refundable security bond is fully refundable if you do not stay.
  • We recommend that guests take out comprehensive travel and accommodation cancellation insurance.

Safety/security issues

  • Guests should ensure they have adequate insurances to cover their personal belonging while at the property as our insurance does not cover this.
  • Security screen doors must be locked with the nib in locked position, while guests are at the property
  • Windows with security screens may be left open in fine weather.
  • Doors, security screen doors and all windows, must be locked when guests are away from the property at all times
  • Access details to the property are provided once a 50% deposit is received

Cleaning & Damage Issues

  • The homes are serviced before your stay and at the end of your stay. The home is expected to be left in a similar condition to which you found it.
  • Please do not use tanning lotions as they damage our linen and causes us enormous expense.  In this case you can bring your own linen as costs for damaged linen will be deducted from security bond.
  • The oven, cooktop, crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils are expected to be cleaned if they are used. 
  • Fridge is to be cleaned on exit.
  • Internal bin is to be emptied before departure.
  • Floors are to be cleared of any litter or personal items.
  • If there is smoking indoors then a minimum charge of $250 will be incurred to steam clean carpets, mattresses, curtains etc.
  • The cost of excessive rubbish disposal will be deducted from the bond

 

Other Important Matters

  • The owners/agents reserve the right of entry for security, maintenance or gardening requirements.
  • Unfortunately, pets are not permitted.
  • Wifi is provided at this property free of charge based on 25GB per week.  If overuse occurs then an additional amount of $10 per GB will be charged.
  • The cost of utilities – gas, electricity and water usage is included in the rate quoted to you on a fair use basis.
  • Smoking only allowed outdoors.  Strictly no smoking indoors. Cigarette butts to be dropped in the outdoor bin when outdoors. 
  • Property is let for residential/recreational and not for business purposes.
  • Strictly - all noise must be kept to a minimum so as not to disturb neighbours, no parties or visitors staying overnight who are not registered with owner.

Refundable Security Bond

  • The security bond is returned to you in full within one week of vacating the property subject to these terms and conditions.
