“Lovely Weekend Getaway” Lovely venue if you are wanting to get away from it all and just enjoy the great outdoors. The cabins are all roomy and well equipped, also separate so nice and private. The bed is very comfortable, the hosts are very helpful, and the venue is close to the National park, visitors centre and walks.

All I hoped for and more - and I wanted a lot....” I can't tell you how much I needed this to be a great, albeit short, break. I was tired in every way, and the two nights I spent here restored every part of me. The peace and feeling the world had stopped didn't preclude the bed being ridiculously comfy and the spa bath being the perfect size to balance the proportions of a tall person with the time it takes to fill a bath with water that is still hot when you get in. The facilities in the room were better than I expected, in both scope and quantity, with remedial fire-making coaching and a literal library of DVDs available at the main lodge whenever one might feel the need. If you are coming to talk on your mobile or watch cable TV, this place is not for you, but then you probably wouldn't be looking at a place surrounded by national park on 3 sides and with its own walking tracks anyway.....

janetandlib 32 Only Place to Stay Perfect! Review of Girraween Environmental Lodge Reviewed 1 August 2018 My family has stayed in the cabins several times and have had such great times that I felt I should let others know about this special place to stay. Location is excellent-out of Stanthorpe, very peaceful and the closest accommodation to Girraween National Park if you like to walk there but don't like to camp. Kelly, who owns/runs the place couldn't be any more friendly or helpful. She makes you feel like an old friend when you arrive. The cabins are cozy-even in winter with a wood burning stove. They had the fire already started for us when we arrived. Kitchen has everything you need. Beds are comfortable and the cabin is spacious enough for a family. We especially enjoy the walks that have been created on the property. The variety of length and difficulty is extensive and they are well marked. It seems so safe that you can go by yourself and enjoy the quiet and the views. The only down side is that a weekend staying at the Environmental Lodge goes too quickly!
