The Oak Beach Retreat is a beautifully designed spacious holiday home that combines tranquility and location with great facilities. With a neutral decor and impeccable finishes throughout, this fabulous house is literally a 2 minute walk to palm fringed Oak Beach allowing you to enjoy an unsurpassed peace and privacy in one of the most enjoyable destinations in the world. 

This superb Pacific style home is surrounded by wide decking overlooking the stunning rainforest and sparkling swimming pool with ocean glimpses from the pool area, dining area and from the upstairs decking, being within metres of the golden sands of pristine Oak Beach. 

Designed by an owner builder to provide the perfect holiday experience, the house has a large near new living room with comfortable sofa, widescreen television, DVD, Austar and complimentary broadband internet. The well equipped kitchen has been appointed with quality appliances and offers everything you need to self cater for your holiday including a dishwasher, microwave and oven. 

The very spacious master king bedroom with ensuite is located upstairs whilst 2 other large bedrooms, one with a king bed and a single bed and the other with a Queen bed and a small futon, are located downstairs where you will also find a second bathroom with shower. We can arrange single mattresses to be included in any of the rooms for children wishing to sleep in the same rooms as their parents. In addition the lounge room has a double sofa bed.

Oak Beach is in a World Heritage Rainforest area. Cross the Daintree River half an hour North (watch for crocodiles from the ferry) and experience one of the greatest wilderness areas on earth and visit magnificent Cape Tribulation. 
Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary features four different and unique habitats of North Queensland: rainforest, wetlands, woodlands and grasslands. You can wander through the boardwalks and discover a great array of animals and trees in their natural habitat.

Visit the markets from 8:00am to 1:30pm and don't miss an opportunity to meet the local community of free traders, artists and farmers, or find that something special you have been looking for. The market is located in beautiful and scenic Anzac Park, Port Douglas, from where you can enjoy not only shopping but also a stunning coastline. The Port Douglas markets are the largest market in the region and one of the best.

Haba Reef Trips 
The unrelenting surge of visitors to the Reef off Port Douglas has impacted on its general condition, and although you'll still see colourful corals and marine life, it has become patchy in parts. Reef trips generally include reef tax, snorkelling and transfers from your accommodation, plus lunch and refreshments. Add around A$200/around A$180 for an introductory/certified dive.
