We have two waterfront holiday homes, Markeri I & Markeri II, on the same block of land. You could walk from one to another through the backyard. Subject to being available at the same time you may book the two properties together and bring the capacity up to 25 guests.

Markeri I

This waterfront holiday home of five bedrooms and three bathrooms is located at the heart of the Gold Coast, within walking distance to Mermaid Beach. The property is totally secure, private and child friendly.

The house is perfectly suited to accommodate up to 12 guests, but you don't have to be a part of a large group to make a booking.
If you are a smaller group of guests wishing to have a break in a waterfront holiday home we may be able to offer a special discount with some conditions attached. Please get in touch with us for more information.

For those of you looking to enjoy a private holiday, the property has a large and fully enclosed pool in the front yard.
The backyard gives access to more than 50m of waterfront, boasting a riverside view and allowing you to enjoy the use of kayaks which are available to all our guests.

There is a queen size bed in every bedroom, as well as an extra bunk bed (two singles) in one.
Air conditioning, ceiling fans and televisions are available in all bedrooms.

The house has a formal dining room fitted with a table seating ten, and the breakfast area adjacent has a table suited for four.

There are three bathrooms – one with a spa bath – in the house, two main living areas, and a fully equipped kitchen.

The outdoor space consists of a large BBQ area undercover beside the pool with a table and chairs.

Please note, the access to the water and pontoon is shared with the house next door.

Guest Access

The garage is locked and used for storage.

There are two car spaces in front of the house and lots off-street parking.

Direct access to the waterfront and pontoon to be shared with the house next door.

Interaction with Guests

We will try to meet and greet every guest at check-in time.
In the case that this may not be possible, we will ensure that the guest will have access to the property and all other needed details made available.

Think of us as your hotel concierge online, always available for contact without interfering with your privacy. Please contact us if there are any issues and we will attend to it immediately.

Occasionally we may send reminders or notifications in regards to check-in and check-out times, waste collection day, if a gardener / swimming pool cleaner may come to the house, or just to ensure that all is well.

~~Damages and Extra Cleaning.
Any breakages, damage and lost items must be paid for by occupants. In the event of this happening it is asked for the occupant to report it as soon as possible. We request that you kindly leave the property in a similar state to the condition it was in on your arrival (including washing dishes, removal of rubbish and BBQ cleaned). Failure to leave the Premises in a satisfactory manner will result in you incurring extra charges. Time stamped photos will be taken if the property is not left in satisfactory manner. Any charges applicable for the above will be deducted from the security deposit. Loss of keys attracts a $50 charge loss of remote $100 and a $50 call out fee if they are misplaced.
Non Smoking.
For the comfort of all our guests, this property is a non-smoking property. We appreciate your understanding.

Garbage Removal.
Please dispose of garbage and recycling in accordance with the usual practice at the property and in the allocated bins at the rear of the house.
Bins MUST be put out for collection each Sunday night should it coincide with your stay. The lid must be able to close for the collection. If it isn't the rubbish will not be collected. Excess rubbish may incur an extra charge.

This property has a “No party policy". There must be no outside noise between 10 PM and 8 AM.
Excessive noise, Parties & functions are not permitted as they may cause disruption to neighbours. A security company may be called to investigate complaints of excessive noise or anti-social behaviour incurring up to $200 charge for call out, which is taken from the security deposit. After one warning guests may be evicted from the premises by security with loss of rent and bond.

Use of the Premises for any event or other than as residential premises will result in the immediate termination of the booking, removal of the guests from the premises and other costs or expenses (including an extra cleaning fee) being charged to the guests credit card. If insufficient funds are available, the debt will be passed onto a debt collecting company or the courts for the debt plus recovery costs.

Payment of the rental deposit constitutes the clients acceptance of these Terms and Conditions
We cater to family groups, couples, corporate guests and friends wishing to holiday together.

We DO NOT accept bookings from schoolies or groups of young singles!

The owners will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances
To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.

Number of Guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email. Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance.

In accordance with Gold Coast City Council, (website hidden) and Holiday Rental Group Code of Conduct, Markeri I has a strict NO PARTY and NO COMMERCIAL FUNCTIONS policy.

We do have very nice neighbours and only take guests who agree to respect them and observe the residential area "quiet time" from 10pm to 8 am. Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and loss of bond.

Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited.

The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in loss of your bond and/or additional payments. Excess cleaning for leaving the property dirty will be charged at a rate of $25 p/person p/hour.

Damage, Breakages, Theft and Loss are the tenants responsibility during their stay.

Departure - the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival.

 Check-out time is 10.00am by the latest, to allow time to prepare property for next guests. Any extra rubbish which does not fit in the bins provided will be charged accordingly to be removed by the cleaning company.

Bond is payable at the same time as the balance amount. It is designed to cover any additional costs incurred including but not limited to, any breakage, damage or excess cleaning requirements, extra guests beyond those declared ..etc.

No smoking in the house. Smoking is allowed outside but please do not trow cigarettes butts on the ground.

Pets are not allowed.

Loss - the owners take no responsibility for the tenant’s personal property.

Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements with the owner in writing.
