Stockton Rise Country Retreats offers two charming homesteads set amongst farmland in the picturesque Lockyer Valley, and is found just one hour west of Brisbane and less than 1.5 hours from the Gold Coast.
Four km south of Forest Hill and close to Laidley and Gatton townships, you can discover the delights of this rich agricultural area by taking a farm drive; visiting local markets or farm gate stalls to buy the freshest and best of Queensland produce.
Alternatively, sit in comfort on the large deck or verandah of the retreats and watch over the day’s activities from afar. There is much to do and you may just want to stay for a week or more to explore this very historical area. Both houses are self contained, comprising three bedrooms in a spectacular position overlooking farmland.
The accommodation is perfect for a family or for friends/groups to spend time together or for couples wanting to spend time away in the countryside. If you are feeling adventurous, bring a rod, your canoe or push bikes and explore the surrounding farmland including the large irrigation dam, or take a leisurely walk to enjoy spectacular sunrise or sunsets over the water.
Visit the local attractions—Lake Dyer, Schultz’s Lookout, markets, local cafes and gift shops as well as touring the farming areas of the Lockyer Valley and sampling local fresh produce. Self drive tours or guided farm tour drives can be arranged. Enjoy the outdoors—spend time on the large deck and verandah or lounge in comfort inside whilst enjoying the view through the large picture windows.
